JtL grouping is incredibly fun. The other night there were about 20 of us in a group pouncing on the Star Ravager Corvette when it jumped in... you could have swornwe were in the space battle during Return of the Jedi... it was sweet! Almost brought tears to my eyes...

We Imps, we only need 7 to kill the vette, Bombstrike rocks. BTW, I love to group for events like hunting captial ships, epic battles et cetera, but for personal advancement missions, no, because sometiems it's hard to find people to help you with your missions.

I have to admit i still like doing things solo, like the destroy duty missions. But i have grown to love the group play in space.

If only grouping in the ground game were as fun as grouping in space.....

But I agree. Grouping for the tougher missions is a lot of fun.

Hopefully this is a point thay are going to work on in the Combt Upgrade. It used to be a blast to group up. I built my guild on Group Play then lots of players complained just like thay are doing about JTL and the planets and the creatures got nerfed. Pluss Holo grind really screwed up the game. I see that thay are starting to work on this I just hope thay keep it up.

Always been a Group Players to I am not born again but I will hunt or fly with a born again any day.

I started up a Rebel Pilots Association on the Kettemoor (see sig below) server in which people can register their names as a contact for assistance on missions. So far we have 32 registered pilots and I've had the honour of teaming up with a number of them on a number of various occasions. I just recently opened up a chat channel for the association where pilots can call for emergency assist. It's just started but last night it probabled brought an additional 3-4 people in on a successful Corvette run when the call for assistance went out.

All in all, I find no greater pleasure then to be able to assist someone out on their missions. It's probably a greater high helping someone finish their Tier 3 then it would be to get mastery independently. There's a sense of comraderie and loyalty... and eventually after a couple of mission groupings you get the feeling that if at any time you need assistance you just have to put out the call and people will come happily.

I'm not part of a guild and the Association is just a loose grouping of names so far... but I've been able to call on members of that association and they've been more then happy to help. As long as you are sincere in your efforts to assist (and if you enjoy it you will be) and are willing to answer the calls for assistance no matter the level then you'll find you'll be "reaping much more then you sow".

To all those whom I've had the pleasure to group with... it's my honour. Feel free to call for assistance from me anytime and I'll do my best to be there. This game is a MMORPG... I tended to be a shy player (not very colourful or vocal) and used to subscribe to the lone-wolf, do-it-by-myself attitude... Use the MMO part of this game and you will be happily surprised. /salute

Grouping is the most fun I've had in this game but you are leaving out the hardest part. getting people to group. I guess its easy when you are in a guild but when you are not then it seems very hard to put together a group.

I agree, it can be hard to find help. But i activly ask players if they need any help. I see them at the space terminals at the bases were i used to fly out of. That is a great place to meet people.

I'm normally aquiet player in-game but decided to break out and ask for help and to offer it as well. The reception I got from the other players was great... you never know unless you try... and when you try you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, same here, i usually don't ask for help, but i did. and i was quite suprised, many people are willing to help you, because generally they are on a higher tier, and it takes u like 2 mins to gain a full tier killing their level stuff, so its quite awesome. least what happened to me. grouping i this game is awesome, and i wish it was like this on the ground. i remember when it used to be a big thing to go out and rancor hunt with 20 peeps, and everyone would die cept the doc, which had to go back to the op to craft some rez packs for everyone. then the light went suddenly on that any real master profession can kill anything solo, and groups pretty much dropped off the fact of the earth.

Thanks friend, i am trying to bring my positive experience i found playing in groups after i thought how terrible it was that SOE forces you to group. They dont force you, you make the decision to group because you want to finish the mission. You can choose to keep playing solo, it just doesnt guarantee you are going to succeed.
