Honestly, what's not to like about JTL?
The travel option which lets you travel from any starport to any starport is worth the price of JTL alone.
JTL completes my swg experience.
My wish beyond the CU is for the next major expansion to add more planets which we can travel to.
JTL enhancements with space mining, ship to ship boarding and Real space stations we can walk around in.

Without reservation, I say YES!!! I disagree that JTL has nothing for the casual player, or the non-guilded. I play solo 80% of the time and I group with my sons most of the remaining 20%. I have three characters on three galaxies (one Reb, one Imp and my favorite a Privateer)and depending on my mood I play them. They are all tier 2.5 or above. For me JTL did save SWG. Looking forward to more content in the future.

I agree with Enzo that casual, non-guilded players can enjoy jtl just fine. I too play 3 characters on three servers from all three sides of the gcw. You can see their pilot progression in my sig.
At some point in pilot progression, yes you will likely have to seek out a couple/few wingmen, but for the most part it's not that difficult to find them really. I got into tier 4 of corSec before having to group, though Storm Squad character has gotten stuck in tier 3.
The freedom gained in traveling alone justifies the one-time cost imo. Not only are there no longer any starport waits, direct trips that used to take one or two transfers to complete can now be made in one quick flight.
Play it to enjoy it and you'll have some fun. Play it to 'beat' it and you'll do so quickly and wonder what you should do next.

Yea idk what he's talking about- you can't enjoy JTL without a guild. Thats just some powergamer statementtrying to speak for everyone. Besides theres diffrerent degrees of "casual gamer" andthe term getsway overused anyway. Really to the point thatthe definition of a "casual gamer"has become very vague these days.
You mayclaim to be some zenlikecasual gamer but its really just an opinion of yourself. Everyone else might think your hardcore.

One of the reasons I came back was JTL. I came back and am actually enjoying the space combat PVE wise. I havent even touched the PVP aspect of it but it looks feirce and fast like PVP used to be.
Anyway all in all its fun actually parking at a space port to dabble around with ship components and switching stuff around then seeing if it works well with your ship.
Also what is fun is actually being able to walk around inside of multiplayer ships.... and what is even better.... is to actually be able to group up with people to take down missions that are way hard to do alone because it gives you a sence of accomplishment.
Yeah its well worth it!
Guy asks me if I can shuttle him from Talus,Deric to Lok, Nyms... I told him sure thing.
Shuttled the guy by jumping planets and it was an experiance in itself. Just for him to ask me, "can I get a lift to NYMs?" Made me feel starwarsy....
