it's really ridiculous to limit to one char per server, etc... It's not like their giving anything of real value. Perhaps the 'perception' of value, but those of us that aren't blind fanboys know it's of no real value.

This 75k was actually pretty major for me. I have a lot of characters on different servers that're still pretty low-budget (the one I use mostly having Pistols, Carbines and One-Handed 3), and 75k is a major improvement from 11k.
Besides that, it's crucial to new players starting JtL. Nowadays on most servers, you can find Tier1 ships on the bazaar for 5-6k (even saw a Longprobe for 6k on one server),and 75k will eventually buy you a Tier 3 ship.
And, regardless, it can buy youeither seven sets of buffs, two or three decent weapons, or a set of grind-quality armor.
Still, it does look like a "Please stick with us instead of WoW!" attempt.

why dont they give out something really good then? 100-200k would be much more of a gift than 75k, most crafters cant really get much resources for 75k unless its 1cpu.

I spent my 75 000 on a medium house deed cause I lost my first one. Ya I kind of agree. Maybe on the 25th which today is the 23 we might get somethign better like aElf Droid or um a prototype vehicle for those who stay online or something or maybe a star wars minigame for your cantina. 75 000 well good enough for a gift I guess.

I'm leaving SWG, so I'm giving my 75k out to all the newbies I find that are actually intelligent. I know, it's like trying to find an arab in Japan, but they're there, o_o;;

lol then you'll join whatever new mass multiplayer will come out and go with the flow. lol I dont really care its christmas holiday, should be happy.
