Thread: Petition:- Please remove decay on Chasis

I've been on the fringes of SWG for a long time, hada 6 month sub when it first came out and now back to try out JTL. I like the game and what I see coming in the near future.

This is not intended as criticism of the poster or anyone else, maybe I don't understand all the facts but the endless nerf requests and peititions to make things easier make me cringe.

It's as if we find something difficult in game, get frustrated and run to the forums to beg/force the Devs to do something to make it easier? I don't want it to be easy, I enjoy the challenge, despite the fact that I've not gotten very far in space yet I found it quite annoying that I didn't get to try out the space missions in the Kessel zone before it was decided to make them PvP free.

It seems to me that from the very first attempt at introducing Jedi, to the road to becoming an ace pilot that if something is too difficult, and a certain number of players moan about it then it's nerfed to make it easier. I want Jedi and ace pilots to be hard to attain, otherwise what is the point?

Well even with the decay you should still be able to repair it. Once you have the chassi you should not have to buy a new one. You still spend a fortune on parts for it. I for one find the space part of SWG very entertaining and great fun, Butim totally lost on the ground. So gettingmoney to pay for chassis has been a real challange. Is it not better to be able to repair the decay then, instead ofneeding to get a new chassi.

You people that hasplaied the ground game forover a year mighthave no problem paying for a new chassi now and then but I can't even pay for the parts i need atm.Im not saying repairing the chassi should be free, but lower then a new chassi atleast.

Badidea, I can already make more money than I know what to with in this game, at least this way I get to spend some of it on a new chassis once in a while.

And new players??? well they should knuckle down like the rest of us had to and EARN some credits.

If you look at the reviews for JTL, almost everybody says that being a pilot is impossible for new players because of the cost for everything. Why make it more expensive by forcing people to buy a new ship every few weeks? I'm not going to PVP if my ship is useless after a few deaths.

You have no love for us beginners do you? I could spend weeks on the ground but still not earn enough to buy a new chassi, im playing the game because i love to fly in space, the freedom and to be with my friends up there. I know little or nothing on how to earn money on the planet, and i don't want to grind for weeks just to be able to do what i enjoy doing, fly into space. You might have millions to spend on chassis butI don't.

Nyahina's right. New player mission payments for destroy are around 500 creds, and once you get some marksman/brawler skills, hit 900 - 1000 creds. The artisan profession can sell nothing but worthless crap (CDEFs, some tools, Bone Armor (probably the most valuable of anything except the vehicles at master), crappy small harvesters, ect. ect.). Scout is another worthless profession to make money off of. Entertainer and Medic might get you a few tips here and there... but nothing big unless you actually run into someone who's got millions to waste. And since it takes forever for someone who doesn't have 12 hours to play at a time or a guild to help them to train to an elite profession, steps should be made to help newer players get out of the pit of begging for money or just not having any, and help them get into the game. Bigger mission payouts, less decay, ect.

Sorry but i have to point out an HUGE error in your post artisn has probley the most USEFULL and BIGEST money generating skill in the game. its callled SURVEY and with it you can find any and ALL mineableresources. Some new uber reource that loads of people want and are willing to pay 10cpu for. Who can find the best spot on a planet an artisan with survey. Oh and scout has a very usefull and nice money generating skill to called harvest. You know all those animals you kill for xp. Well they have resources on them and a scout can harvest them. Docs need loads of avain and herb meat and will pay very well for it. So as you can see Artisan and Scout are not worthless at all.

Sorry but removeing deacy on chasis's is a BAD idea there are few enough money sinks in the game with out removeing this one. Newbis plays can get to at least tier 2 with thier FREE ship.

No

If you have to replace your chassis that much in PVE you are definitely doing something wrong. I have one death in my Xwing and it was during a Master Vett mission helping some friends.

Shipwrights need a break in this game cause as it stands it takes a horde of good resources to make any of those ships. Some of their crafted components are better then loot so selling chassis should remain viable. Also who ever said that Joe Blow n00b should be able to jump in the game and have the best ship?

This game used to be hard I hope it goes back that way.
