Yes I understand that the flash speeder is only available to ebgames and gamestop pre-orders. Thi WAS NOT stated at first and therefor 100's of players pre-ordered from various sites. Then a few weeks later they stated that the flash speeder would only be available to those who ordered from ebgame or gamestop only.
This has been false advertising and if you have already paid for this then you have the right to cancel this order without incuring any charges. if anyone has a problem with that then telk to the manager of the store and he/she will have to sort it out with SOE as it was their fault.
Or you can take the aggressive route and sue SOE for the cost of the game and shipping, but the court costs would cost more than what you get so there is no point. Which just proves that huge companies like SOE can do what the hell they like and get away with it without facing any consiquences, while us paying customers get screwed as usual.

I Pre-ordered from GameStop.com, didn't get my Flash Speeder CD key or whatever it is, nor does /flashSpeeder work.

Here's the deal with this guys as explained by a post by Tiggs in the now gone Beta forums. I'm not sure if she re-posted but I thought I had seen something.
You had to get the pre-order beta CD to be eligible for this. It is linked to the key that was sent for that. If you did not receive said disk you may be out of luck but there is hope. Tiggs has put up another post about looking into it from ebgames and getting keys sent to the people that pre-ordered for them.
Now if you have the pre-order Beta disk, or a code that was sent to you last night (some people have reported this from ebgames) you just add the key in the normal update subscription part on the launchpad. This activated the ability to use the command to claim it. You need to do this in addition to the Live key that comes with the JTL CD.
If you do not have either of these, I'm afraid you may be out of luck. I'm not sure about the offer from Gamestop as I did not deal with them on this subject.

With luck TookyG, you will get a Beta CD with key with your order. You didn't have to enter the beta with that key, just get one. If you don't then call Gamestop.com's customer service and yell until you get what you are entitled to.

Although your order was placed at a time when participation in the beta test was not practical, we were able to secure additional codes to unlock the in-game bonus Flash Speeder. You will receive your access code along with instructions to obtain your speeder via email within the next week.
You may receive your copy of Jump to Lightspeed before your receive the access code for your Speeder, but rest assured that the code will arrive shortly after you receive your copy of the game and you will be able to claim your speeder after you have begun to play Jump to Lightspeed

So, I finally received my Pre-order box from EB Games, but now the spot that used to be on the Laungh Pad to update my registration is no longer there. How am I supposed to enter this new key in now??

I had pre-ordered for my two accounts back at the beginning of September. I got my CD's the day of launch but no flash speeder code. I called and complained to EBgames and the said the key's would be coming to me via email. I gave them a week and no email. I called and complained again. The next day I received two emails with my flash speeder codes. Entered them into my account registration area and the speeders were available when I logged on.

Same here. I emailed SOE first and they sent me this:

I forwarded this to EB games and they sent me this:
"Thank you for contacting EBgames.com. Please either contact our customer service by phone at 1-877-432-9675, or via e-mail with your name, address, e-mail address, and the number of copies you ordered. Once we receive the codes from the manufacturer, one will be e-mailed to you."
I called them and gave them my info. That was on10/29 and I haven't gotten any email yet. At this point I don't think I'll ever get it.

LOL!!! I got the same email about the Speeder code being sent by email. On the day that JTL went live, I received my two copies of the live game. On November 9 I sent EB Games an email asking about the missing code for the flash speeder and got a reply stating:
Thank you for contacting EBgames.com.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We no longer have any promotional
codes available for sending through email, so we have sent out your
request for delivery to your address. The promotional codes should
arrive within 3 - 5 business days.
If you require further assistance, we are available 7 days a week from 8
AM to Midnight EST.

So guess what I got in the mail today from EB Games... The JTL PRE-ORDER BETA CD's!!! I can only imagine the horrors that will arise as people try to load a pre-release beta CD of a game that'salready gone live. EB Games knows I have the live version because they sent them to me. How am I supposed to activate the Flash Speeder without installing the beta discs over my existing live versions (and probably losing everything I've earned up to now)? They didn't bother explaining that.

Ahh! Simply "Registering Expansion" using the keycode on the back of the Pre-Order Beta CD gets you the Flash Speeder without having to even open the Beta CD case.

SWEET! I just got my Flash Speeder but I had to call EB Games back to get it. Seems I always get the interns and he messed up my email so that's whyI never got it.
Here's a few notes of inconsistency with what other player have been saying. One, I need to have a beta cd. They just gave me a key code over the phone so maybe it's true but still arguable because of point number 2. I pre-ordered on the 21st at 7pm. It seems as if EB games is talking out both sides of their mouth on this unlike Gamespot which just told buyers they were totally out of luck.
Anyhow, it's a cool looking speeder but it won't get used much outside of a city. It really is pretty slow.
