Final update. Finished this mission today with a team mate, but ended up doing the last part solo. This time around I didn't have nearly as much trouble as before and I'm wondering if there wasn't a change put in place that I don't know about. My partner, doing this mission for the first time, also passed his own solo fight with the tier 4 fighters and said it was pretty easy. So I'm guessing there was an update or mabye I just suck real bad.

A few pointers for ppl having trouble with this mission.

Duck and move - In the final part you will get ppl behind you while you are shooting desperately at the person in front of you. Don't keep shooting, immediately turn and drop the current target and wait till the enemy behind shoots you again and gets auto targeted, this will keep them from blasting away at your shields and armor. Also using the engine overload #2 really gives you an extra second or two before enemies and get into firing range, and that makes a big difference.

For future consideration, doing this mission with a partner, who also has the same mission, will double everything up, there will be 2x as many fighters and the last battle will be a nightmare. In this case the final battle, it was in different places for me and my partner so it didn't matter, I'm hoping that is normal. That last part being doubled up would be a nightmare.
