I've played other SW Space Fighter games, and Kessel does not look like what it looks like.

Its just eye candy ppl and eventually they may fix it, but its not an important issue. It looks good as it is, and maybe when they start adding in planets they will take this one out and use it for Coruscant and replace it with the broken down pinto looking planet. Just ive it some time.

im not saying its the most important thing in the world, but the thing is, its just artwork, there is a whole team for that, it wouldnt be that hard to jsut make the changes.

From what I've heard, the devs version of Kessel is a beautiful thing to behold (I have yet to see it). A big potato doesn't sound quite so pretty.

Kessel isn't supposed to be pretty, its like the bumhole of the galaxy. But if they do it right, it should have wisps of atmosphere trailing off of it, which would look pretty cool.

This threads needs some more attention. Besides, it'll give the boys and girls in the Art Department something fun to do.

I agree they have more important things to take care of but here is a quote from the starwars.com Star Wars: Databank.

http://www.starwars.com/databank/location/kessel/?id=eu wrote:

A lumpy asteroidal mass that can barely be considered a planet, Kessel's claim to infamy lies in the precious strands of glitterstim spice that striates the otherwise unremarkable rock of the frigid world.

The Outer Rim planet is too small to hold an atmosphere of its own, so its surface is marked by massive air-producing factories that belch out breathable air. Despite these measures, the air is still too thin to breathe without oxygen masks, and the factory's output eventually bleeds away into space, leaving a vaporous trail behind Kessel as it orbits its bleak and distant sun.

Even the old game Rebellion which represented every planet as featureless spheres went out of its way to make Kessel look like a lumpy asteroid.

Kessel ingame indeed does look pretty, but if potato it is, potato should be ...so should centerpoint station too as well! ...The ugliest planet though to me is the one in the Correlia system...it doesnt look....well...finished...touched up where it needed to, doesnt look real (compared to the other ones)

This is such a minor issue I would rather the devs concentrate on more important issues. Come on, stop knit picking.

I don't see anything that involves the Devs screwing up on continuity as "minor" or as "knit picking". The game is supposed to be Star Wars and with things that are flat out wrong, it takes away from the Star Wars feeling.

As for the new ships, the Hutt and Black Sun ships first and foremost, they absolutely suck. They look like they came out of Andromeda or some other half-baked Sci-Fi show/movie. I recently switched from Privateer to a Rebel Pilot, despite losing my YT-1300, the change easily made the game more enjoyable since I'm flying something out of the movies and/orexisting EU. There's more than plenty existing craft that they could have used... now I'm ranting, so I'm gonna end right here.

The rest of the system is beautiful, true, but in my opinion the whole thing is ruined by the Coruscant ripoff they made Kessel look like. As someone else said, Kessel is not supposed to look pretty.

I agree, Corellia looks almost like the artists used crayons...
