deci is very sweet, very, very sweet. I accidently fell asleep last night in my deci that was idling at naboo station. I was originally taking a nap but lately i've been tired and slept til the next morning and left my anti-logout afk macro on. I logged on the next morning and went into my group chat tab to see the /tells I missed and they were filled with compliments on my ship, how they wanted to see the interior and how they loved the name.. its called "Pillar of Autumn" and no im not a halo fanboy, but every good name that I wanted can't be chosen cuz "empire, imperial, emperor" aren't allowed in ship names which is extremely retarded. I'd like to call my ship "The Empire's Ambition" but nooooooo SOE has to block it. Hey, take your nova courier and name it the Truth and Reconciliation, see if i care

Although you will hate the answer, it is: The ship is what you make of it. It can be a wimpy ship that is easily destroyed, or it can be a work-horse. Even as a workhorse, you still need the crew to work the positions to survive, and only use it for missions that it is designed for (eg. Escort Missions)

Are you poor and will put blasters on it that do 1700 damage? or are you wealthy (or have appropriate loot) to do 4000+ damage weapons?

Are you poor and will put whatever shield generators that you can? Or are you wealthy and will do 50+ regen shields?

...anyway, I think you get the point...

I like the nova alright, its a group ship and you'll need around 5 people to get full functionality out of it. Other then that its "cool". useless in pvp tho. And yeah, it requires master to get it

I agree. The Courier is what you make out of it.

Some of my guildmates and I have had a great time in my Nova Courier, the Starwind. Usually we run with a crew of three or, at the max, four. I've never had a five-man crew, but I've also never lost her in combat. Took quite a bit of damage in Kessel once going after a vette (I know how to do it much better now ), but she's never blown.

All in all, they can be a good ship...but some won't enjoy it.

I love my YT, which runs pretty much the same way. I also tend to prefer a smart crew of three and I wouldn't want five or more. I'll usually fly with four if one of the crewers is new at MP ships so the other three of us take pilot, ops, and a turret and show the new person the ropes.

MP ships can take a variety of roles if the crew knows how to use the ship. Still, it tends to be much more difficult for even a strong MP ship crew to destroy fighters than it is for other fighters to destroy fighters. While a one or two fighter escort is not usually needed, it can be useful sometimes.

I have crewed in MP ships that solo'd Star Ravagers. Intelligent use of IFF by most of the crew and droid programs by those who know when best to use them means a well-equipped MP ship can survive a whole lot.

Don't forget that when we have guild parties, it's always on the Nova instead of the YT or Decimator because it's bigger/nicer looking.

Don't expect to manage PvP in multiplayer ships, but if you have big enough shields and guns, you can do anything elsein it.
