Thread: Is anyone Disheartend by the lack of attention to JTL?

Bummer... my guild is Rebel and Privateer Pilots with Ground Rebel Faction... we have more than a few Imperials we Space PvP against and are putting together a space guild war... Master Pilots, but no missles and level 3 weapons...gives it some realism and takes some time and skill to win...

Like I said, you just have to create your own content sometimes... That and we always help out people with the Vette mission...there's a few of us that have become quite good at solo'ing the vette... then it's time for the SD.... I guess I'm a little biased because I've always loved flight sims.

Nothing to do?

I have no trouble just going up and piloting for an hour. I'm not burned out yet. If you do three or four different things per session, you'll find that the game is far more entertaining than doing one thing until you are sick of it.

content, new ships, a reason to pvp in space, bounty missions in space, some ship changes (ex: firespray has 3 visible engines in the movies yet only 2 are lit up in this game, and the wings folding when braking or turning)

To kille other players. Same reason as on the ground. Only in space you don't have a template to hide behind. people keep saying PVP is space is to fast and it's pointless? look at ground PVP....sometimes 2 players can battle for 30+ minutes and not get a scratch. how is that better or worse than a "realistic" dogfight in space? In the films and in most space flix, if a ship gets hit with more than 2 or 3 solid hits then it's game over.

I don't think we need a reason to PVP in space. What we need are more reasons to get people up there in the first place. The new missions are nice but a few things to interact with would be better. being able to dock with MP ships would be nice. Being able to do something with all of that damn prestige would be great! Imagine how many people would fly if you could convert that stuff at the Villiage. There should be some kind of a connection to the ground also. I agree that BH missions would be nice. Launch your droid and when it comes back it says "Target located in Lurid Dawn Sector, Lok" Or if you could use a special BH droid command to track from space instead of having to use a SpyNet Op.

There are a ton of things they could do but as much as they say the resources aren't split, JTL is in the shadow of the CU right now. I personally love JTL. There aren't many of us on Shadowfire who fly or PVP but for those who do we have fun. I enjoy JTL because it's real Player vs. Player combat. The ground game is little more than Character vs. Character.

Just my 2cr

Oh yeah....lets not forget about the SICK ammounts of FP that can be made. On a good run it's not unheard of to make 5k-10k FP or more. And Rebs get that nice little CoA bonus. The FP alone is enough to keep me going back. If you're not buying faction perks you can sell that stuff off and make millions.

The new missions are great but I think the Devs are mistaking them with real content. Yes some of them are cool and some are not but there is still no story line in the game and even static theme parks are more fun than just 40 more mission grinds. There have been several suggestions for a high level Rouge Squadron and 181st Squadron theme parks and I'm sure they could come up with something for Neutral factions as well.

Well, I beleive they are ignoring it because JTL was not rushed to release like the ground game was.

They simply need to add more content into space, as opposed to the ground game where it's still very broken.

Finally..somebody says something about the One Hundred Eighty Worst (pre Fel of course). Now if the Devs were to pick up a comic or a novel maybe they'd let us paint some stripes on our TIES :-) Most TIE pilots never use the same ship twice so there isn't a need for customization. But in the case of the 181st and other eliete TIE squadrons, customization was the norm.

I like thaty idea about having Rouge and 181st missions. Make them like actual squadrons you can join, squadrons like Black Ep, Storm, and Inqu. Once you get Aced up and you've got enough prestige you can join Rouge or the 181st and do the theme park and maybe even get new master gear. (maybe a black Ace TIE helmet with Red Imp insignias on it and a flight suit with the red stripe on the arm)

My only complaint is that I wish people would fly more. I dont know about other servers, but back on Tempest well I can never find anyone. The most popular launch zones I see on avarage only two people then they dissipear and as for Deep Space well lets just say I've gone there enough times to lose count and I have NEVER seen another player there enemy or ally alike.

I am a old XWA vet and what I looked forward to most was PvP that was beyond 1v1, 2v2 and your rare 3v3. Also groups of players taking out ISDs. It all has the possibility, but on tempest your lucky to see another player ship anywhere let alone actually engage with it. Maybe it's just my server or is it like this other places as well.

Aye, I want some content, not more missions. Anyways I'm not a big fan of the missions in SWG in general (sorry). I don't think they are fully thought out. No flow.

When I'm thinking content I mean stuff like Eve, the ability to stay completely occupied in space without having to take missions, and some sort of ZOC thing that's a little more in depth then the current ground game.

Seems if that Rage of the Wookiees Expansion is true, then it will add asteroid mining.
