Please people, listen to this man, these petitions are getting out of hand, the devs will do what they know is best for the game, I know it would be cool to have OMG 1000000 TYPES OF SPACESHIP FROM THE EXPANDED UNIVERSE AND EVERY SHIP IN STAR WARS EVER but it's not viable, so please, lets just look at some sexy screenshots and chillout 8-)
... or make a good petition like giving Imperials a deathstar as a high level faction perk which has an AOE attack which can kill every overt rebel on an entire planet. j/k.

My god this is a stupid post. It must benice to have faith in what the DEVs do... must be nice to be that mentally malformed. Sometimes I, too, walk by the mental institution and think to myself 'boy, it must be nice to be a retard, and not have a care in the world'... and then I'm jolted by to reality, and that soft, cozy feeling of superiority.
The DEV's track record is like the Yellow Brick Road from Return to Oz-- it's full of potholes, but painted gold; as if that somehow makes things better. We've drunk down the official line-- only to find ourselves barfing it all up within hours-- on too manyupdates and enhancementsto count: why are you so willing to take the DEV's efforts on faith this time too?
The point here is this: it has been a rare (and perhaps non-existant)time or placewhen this team has gotten something right; and most of the time what ends up being broken was predicted by the community at large weeks or even months in advance. We don't all have crystal balls in front of us, but we do (most of us) have functioning brains, andit doesn't take a rocket scientist, or even a McDonalds janitor to observe that this team has failed blatantly time and again, and that-- just perhaps-- they might be on the cusp of doing so again.
Suggestions for possible improvements are a good thing, and I welcome the community rallying around points and designs that they believe should make the final cut. I support them in their efforts,... but then again; I'm the person walking by the insitution thumbing my nose at the disabled locked within, and you're the fool in the padded cell drooling over his TV dinner.
(Edit: Ha ha... how ironic that this is the post when I became a community elder...)

As much as i would hate to start a post about this subject, I have to agree. Go ahead and post suggestions, but please, enough with the petitions.

I agree 110% Petitions are absolutely useless. The devs hate them and they usually start bickering. A good idea/discussion thread is the best way to go. If you look around this board I'm sure you've seen a few excellent idea threads.

A good idea thread would be soo much better than a petition... just using petition in a title is asking for people's acceptance... if your idea is that good people will jump on... and if you like someone else's idea give good input to keep the discussion going... a normal thread (not a petition) that gets to 45 pages of posts generally gets more attention than a bunch of /signs...
