but see, some people have no faith in JTL so they are going to stick to the ground..that would leave them at a complete loss and a HUGE problem on the Devs shoulders when everyone starts complaining
good thought..but it wouldnt work out...=/

I just . . . have this very serious feeling that this would open the door to some player screwiness.
For one thing, would it be possible? I don't know for sure that people who haven't bought the expansion won't be able to sit as passengers on starships, but I can't imagine how they would be able to do so. (I mean, they'd have to have basically all the JtL content installed, but locked.) So you'd be blocking off Dathomir to anybody who hadn't bought the expansion, which would rightly infuriate lots of folks.
And that aside, you'd make it necessary to use a player-controlled system in lieu of an automatic one, instead of merely making the former an option. Given the SWG playerbase, somebody somewhere would figure out a way to exploit or twink things, you know?
I mean, in a perfect world this would be awesome! If you weren't a pilot yourself, you'd have to find transport pilots willing to run the blockade; there would be seedy dealings in cantinas and so forth, just like in the movies. A proper economy would start up, and it'd be based on services that are fun to perform and fun to receive.
But people just play so damn cheap.

I think we should be able to spend faction points to have a star destroyer fly in and bombard the planet with orbital strikes
the target of these strikes?
none other than
the village
that'll make jedi rare again

Too bad if Dantooine was too remote for an effective demonstration of the death star, theres no way Dathomir could be a well travelled enough place. I think unkillable teleporting uber spawns of Darth Vader and Boba Fett would keep em in check till we figure something out though...

Has anyone else had the problem of creatures disappearing when they are in the middle of fighting them? Last night I was out in Rancor valley killing Rancors for Carn meat and 3 lairs in a row I got no harvests because they either disappeared when they were about half dead or before I killed the rest of tha rancors to be able to harvest the corpse. Well I got frustrated and moved a ways away from the valley and found some Kwi's and Purboles and they were doing the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've only had this on creatures it's been taking a while to kill. Which is REALLY annoying.
I noticed Tiggs was looking for feedback on the current spawning behaviours, so it could be that they've been 'tinkering'. If so, lets hope that it was just a passing phase.
