Thread: A Idea For Jtl With Jedi Profession
I like what the one guy said, you want something like a jedi star fighter. Fly an A-wing.
Ohh btw the thing about throwing their LS at a ship. Anikin kinda did in episode 2.

the thing is if you give jedi a perk in space space would become unbalaced with the normal players and jedi with whatever perk they get in this makebeleave world.
JTL is skill based for TWITCH players not for ground ATB style play. ATB is always unbalaced cos its based on everyone haveing a so called card attack or defence.
just like a card duel style game your charatur is built on skills ablitys & stats. JTL is built on how good you are and how good your ship is all pilots can get the same droid commands if they trade. all pilots have skills to use that don't effect the balances to much. there are only 3 ways you can go with a pilot and all are easly matchs unlike the 36 or so skills on ground game.

I understand your desire for the Jedi Starfighter... everyone else in their own way already gave you quite the flaming for even suggesting this. It's obvious that there's strong feelings against it. Simply put, the Dev's and player Base was against this from day one of JTL Beta. Personally I am against it as well for a pretty obvious reason.
There were no Jedi Starfighters left by the time Episode 4 started. Jedi are supposed to be all but extinct. We've already blown away most of the known Star Wars history by allowing Jedi at all. I'm not one to say delete the Jedi or anything like that, but I do believe this would be completely unfair to add a ship for just one profession like Jedi.
To be fair though I also don't want to see a BH only, Squad Leader only, or Entertainer only ship design either. There's 3 pilot classes with their own ships and styles. I believe that is fair enough. More ships do need to added but I believe it should be done carefully.
Imperials should get the TIE Defender and Lambda shuttle. Rebels andNuetralsshould get.... well not sure, but another fighter equal to the TIE Defender and another POB equal to the Lambda shuttle, on the other hand... I believe there should also be some general use, non-certed ships like transports and frieghters.
So, not to be another to flame you, just suggesting that this would not be the best course of action for JTL. Keeping the ground game and JTL seperate needs to remain that way for now at least.

I am not a jedi ingame (not yet), but this attitude towards jedi characters is a little crazy. I mean would we really call this game Star Wars without jedi in it. As for the animosity against Jedi. You have to understand that most of us have seen the Jedi swoop in and pretty much control everything about the ground game, when they shouldn't even be here. The last thing we want is Jedi to swoop in and control everything about the space game, and that would happen if you gave Jedi any form of "perks". Why? Because in JTL it's *your* skill as a pilot that matters. Give the Jedi a special ship or special skills, and that statement is no longer true.
Sure, you could argue that the Jedi Starfighter could be no better than your average X-wing or other current ship, but the size of it would give the Jedi loads of advantages in any PvP situation.

Also I think their are many different types of Tie Fighters that we don't yet have in jtl. Some of the ships can be for Transporting and the others for Attack or Dueling Ships. Again these are just ideas not to get anyone flamed just for response on what you think. Thank You for your responses and i will check back in a couple days to see what u guys think. If anyone gets anymore ideas that feed off of this post feel free to also post what you think.
Some of these ships exist already (B-wing, and an NPCImperial Shuttle), some are outdated (Naboo Starfighter, Republic Cruiser), some are too big for a player to control (Mon Cal Cruiser, Nebulon-B Frigate) and some don't exist yet in this time frame (E-wing).
At any rate, what is needed is not more ships. JTL needs more content. In fact, I would go as far as to state that the post-master content in JTL must be equal (in terms of volume)as all the "leveling-content" for all the professions and squadrons put together. Instead the developers released an expansion with *NO* post-master content and expected it to be a success. Amazing...
