Question: Where can I find the Imperial Star Destroyer?

The Imperial Star Destroyer is in the "Deep Space". It's a PvP zone, so watch your back as I put a missile between your wings.

I agree with increasing range on the bigger targets like space stations, ISDs, Vettes. In XwA Capitol ships could easily blow up your missles unless u dumbfire it.

I bet that's not all you'd like to put between my wings eh?

Go back and do a little research...have to kill the shield generators BEFORE you try to do any damage to a star destroyer. Once those are both down...it's quite easy for a rebel pilot to fly along and without targetting, simply shoot the turrets off one by one.

Zutono.. are the shield generators those round things mounted on top of the bridge structure? I tried targeting the shields, but didn't notice any target reticules. I'll have to pay closer attention next time I'm out that way.

Thanks for the info though..

Each individual weapon is targetable and if your close enough you get a lead reticle and weapons lock on it for missles.

And it looks really cool, blowing up

No I did not solo it. Some friends of mine and I took it out Monday night and it is a impressive ship. After we defanged it we had the most fun flying around it and taking screenshots.

For the people who haven't seen it yet.....When you blow up the shield gens they explode like in the movies. Also when you disable the engines they literally cut off....no more engine glow.

Last thing to note is if you happen to destroy it DON'T LINGER. It respawns within a few minutes and it's not a happy camper.

Missile lock distance should be relative to the size of the target we are locking onto. It's that simple, really. I mean, wouldn't it be easier to get a firing solution on a ship that's several kilometers long as compared to a twisting, turning, 12 meter long starfighter?

Yeah but where's the challenge of taking the ship out if your missile lock and launch range is greater than the range of the ISD's guns?

Wouldn't be much fun if you could just sit there and lob missiles at it from a safe distance until it blows up.

As someone else wrote, you'd have to drastically increase the range of guns if you're going to do this.

Yeah...that's them. If you go and watch ROTJ you'll hear them say "Target the shield generators", next scene you see A-wings attacking those balls. Target the shields then attack those 2 balls.

I'm an imperial player, only reason I'm disclosing this is because it's fairly common knowledge among the players who played the old SW flight sims and I feel that the public should have this knowledge.
