I wouldn't mind having them put like only the skeleton and parts of the outer skin completed, but nothing like what we saw in ROTJ, and it'd better be heavily fortified, that is, near instant death for any rebels because rebs aren't supposed to know about it yet and any rebels would be KOS (Kill On Sight), by both NPC and Player imperials Assuming the area for the zones are 10Km wide cubes or spheres, there should be a 5KM KOS zone for rebels, thats the kind of thing I'd probably expect.

OHMSS, even though continuity is dead or nearly so in SWG, the devs should know better than to make a gigantic continuity blunder as far as making the death star exactly the way it was when the Rebs attacked it in ROTJ, it'd be a massive PR mistake.

The Death Stars were created in the Maw which is heavly surrounded by black holes. If they were to put the under-construction death star it would be there and then SOE will be getting complaints about people getting sucked into blackholes and ending up in a alternative universe where everyone is a Wookie jedi.

They were researched and the Prototype was created in the Maw, that was in an EU novel - the Jedi series I believe.

DSII was built over Endor

Maybe the pre constructed death star 2 can just me an Imperial theme park. And that is it, with any rebels who get near it get hit with so many tie fighters they will never see it. Also are we sure the deathstar is near Endor yet? Maybe it is on another planet having the peices being constructed.

The Death Star is not in the SWG era. The SWG era is right after the first movie.

Umm... hyperdrives on TIEs, remember?

You guys don't have to worry. The devs have obviously forgotten about continuity in JTL.

someone has not read very many books on the TIE specs or even played TIE Fighter from Lucas Arts.

the TIE Advance, which is also an exact Model of Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, is one that encases both Hyperdrive technology and Force Shield generators. Read up on it, or go play the game. The TIEs do have Hyperdrive capabilityes, just not all of them due to the high cost of placing these large engines into a small ship. That's like placing the DS cannon on a Speeder Bike from ROTJ.

As for the DS, the Maw Instalation is where most of the Empire's wpns of Mass Destruction was created (Maybe Pres. Bush should check here instead of Iraq for WMDs)

But the Death Star, in Attack of the Clones is shown to be designed by the Genosians. DS1 is built about 5 years before ANH and DS2 is being built at the Same time of the Battle of Yavin.

there was also, in the Maw Installation 3-5 other DS's being made, including a working Skeleton one that was basically a 6 pointed stick shape sphere.

The Death Star can be placed in the game. Just when and where is the interesting fact. If I remember the facts, ESB was 1 yr after Battle of Yavin and ROTJ was 1 year after that. the DS2 was half way completed built, but accelerated cause of the DS1's failures and destruction.

Kinda remember in one of the books...there was a prototype deathstar, hidden somewhere in the core of the galaxy. Do not remember what book it came from...So if there was a prototype deathstar in the books.........Why cannot the deathstar in JTL, be that prototype....or just another prototype in another part of the galaxy. The empire was not dumb...they probably could have independent projectscreatingthe deathstar...with any two groups not knowing they are creating it. Why spend the money on just one deathstar when you can spend 10 times as much on 4.

This will prevent the Rebels or the Senate from finding out and destroying one...while in another part of the galaxy another was being built. At the time of the Deathstar creation the Senate was still in session and was dissolved within the first few mintues of ANH.

That would be too cool. I vote for that. I wouldn't be surprised if the Devs already put it in there.
