I seem to remember it being said in beta that you arent supposed to be able to just travel to these other systems. The idea was that the core systems are relatively safe and you can easily have an uneventful trip, but if you are going to the more remote systems the danger level is higher and you arent guaranteed a safe trip.

I may be mis remembering this but it does seem to make sense anyway. travelling to dathomir should not be like catching a bus there should imo be some risk to it.

If that was the case, then the dangerous planet of Lok would not be one of your options.

Lok isn't considered an "Advanced" Planet if I remember correctly.

hey all,

I just did a good deal of reading and was unable to find an answer to this question. I also went and sent in a ticket asking this question, but was told I was asking for hints, and the CSRs can't answer it (you'll see what I mean in a minute), and promptly closed my ticket (go figure).

In the multiplayer ship for SWG, I'm running into an issue with the travel command. I'm on the ground, and travel, but only get options to the following planets:
Tatooine,
Naboo,
Corellia,
Lok
Thus, dathomir, endor, talus, yavin, rori are missing. Is there a reason for this? I know, I can manually go into space and travel there, with no issues...but sadly that still takes quite a bit of time. One CSR told me I had to travel the normal space routes (naboo -> corellia -> dathomir), but even when in corellia, I get the options for the above planets. When I'm on Dathomir, I also get the exact same options.

Does anyone know the answer to this? As you can tell, this isn't a 'hint thing' I was asking, who knows why the ticket was closed :-/

Thanks all.

Again, the reason you can't get to those planets is because they are Restricted do to Imperial Control.

Rori and Talus (From what I understand) are bugs...

Regardless you can Hyperspace to those places.

No its no a bug (Except Rori and Talus.

IIRC, naboo is also under control of the empire. If that isn't under control, then why is rori restricted too? The same goes for Corellia. I guess that's more 'neutral' territory, but why would Talus be restricted?

To the people who are saying that you can only travel to certain planets because either the planet is labeled as a high danger planet or restricted to imperial control: It's nice that you try to at least rationalize it a little so that it makes sense, but it is indeed just a bug. If you take a look at the worldmap screen when you bring up the travel option, Tatooine is listed every single time. The reason why you can't get to Endor, Yavin, Dantooine, etc is because those planets are not accessible from the normal Tatooine shuttle system. The only planets which are available are those which you can get to through the normal shuttle out of tatooine, no matter what planet you are on.

There is a workaround however, all you have to do is go to the normal public shuttle terminal, open it up to bring up the map of the world you're currently on, and then hit the escape key to close the window. Now go back to the space terminal, click the travel button, and you should be able to now travel anywhere that the normal shuttle system would allow from the planet you're currently on. This won't let you travel from any planet to any planet like it should when everything is working right, but this will allow you to use your personal ship exactly like the public transports, only it's free and you don't have to wait.
