while we are on the subject of Alderaan and the Death Star blew up Alderaan
i have a question
How does the Death Star move you dont see any engines its basicly an artifial metal moon i mean even Luke mistoke it for a moon what goin on here
Are there like tie fighters outside the Death Star with towing cables pulling it threw space that would explain y it moves so slow
i dont think they were thinking wen they built the Death Star

Good idea for a pvp zone but i think the asteroid field needs to have really large asteroides
big enough to fly in and out of. atm the current asteroid field are to small and empty.

Agreed! And, also, the asteroids in the PvP zone should do damage if you collide with them.

Can I get a hell yeah? Let's put some challenge into the game for PvP. We all know asteroids are nerf (not nerfed, but literally made of nerf) in PvE because the computer isn't smart enough to fly around them. Well, human pilots ought to be able to dodge space rocks, especially if they claim to be Masters or Aces. I say we make them prove it. Turn on collision. For that matter, turn on ship collision!

We'll see who the REAL Aces are when paying chicken is suddenly a fatal activity.

I'd love to see an Alderaan debris field and a Death Star debris field as PvP zones. It would be wild fighting through huge chunks of rock (Alderaan) or giant slabs of metal (Death Star).
I could think of some awsome design ideas for both of them.

That would be nice. However, the Death Star debris field is in Yavin space right now, and it's not likely that will ever be a PvP zone.

Its a good idea. I have heard it before but using it as a PvP zone for non masters is a nice touch.

That's a horrible idea. Because, I know myself can have some lag and choppiness in space, and I don't want to freeze up, and then all of a sudden end up colliding with an asteroid that I never had a chance to avoid.


There is a reason why there is no impact damage in this game. If there was impact damage, I'd have to buy a new speederbike every night because a house all of a sudden loads up 3 inches in front of me and I don't have time to avoid it before hitting it. It would be the same in space. It would be a game breaking issue in my mind to lose a space ship because I lagged in space and an asteroid popped up in front of me before I could avoid it.


Yes on the Alderaan zone (I think that is a good idea)


No on the collidable asteroids (An idea with good intentions, but could not function in this type of game)
