Yea but that doesnt work on the imp ones, their only blind spot is right underneath them where you cant hit it

They also have more turrets than the rebel ones.

Yep, that's true. I get spanked by those suckers.

(Sorry, I don't know why I thought you were Imperial. )

How is anyone supposed to find and kill a corvette with a horde tier 5 escorts, that only spawns every few hours in a random place in kessel and only stays in the system for a few minutes? Even if you manage to get a group together its likely your not going to even find it. And all that just to be able to fly a multi-player ship, which are a lot of the fun in JTL and should be for everyone.

I know people soloed did it in beta, but they have made things a lot harder since then.

You cannot solo it in live. 1. it's in the kessel so your fair game for players.

So I would bring a group of at least 6. All x-wings,a-wings.

That's why the suggestion stands to take out the gunboats one at a time before you even think about firing a shot on that Corvette. If they're not there at first after you take out the fighters, wait a few seconds.

Even if we had destroyed the 2 gunships and manage to not be totally damaged, we still had that new corvette pop on top of us and the additional fighters and PvPers. I wouldn't mind taking on a Corvette with a fighter escort in another system, but with PvPers that can kill you in one or two shots and 2 gunboats it just isn't any fun. They were told about this in beta and did nothing, and I hoping that they do something about this soon, whether that means move the mission to another sector or get rid of the gunboats and keep in Kessel.

The mission would be better in a non-pvp zone yea, there isnt much trouble with that at the moment, but soon when more people elvel up that zone will be packed full of people doing the kill 30 ship patrol mission looking for easy kills.

Also I dont like how the corvette wiggles around like a fighter, your constantly bumping into it.

As far as Actually killing the Vette, if you hit the correct spot on the vette for what you are aiming for, it will be gone in less than 7 shots. Its not strong by any means, and can be taken down quite easily. KEPP TRYING! Its not supposed to be easy......is it? lol

I wonder if every person in your group would get credit for the mission if they needed the master mission as well? Anyone know this?

Finaly found it, got killed in 3 seconds, went back to get a group and when I went back for it it had jumped out already

Seems no one is supposed to master pilot...

It's definitely hard, and realistically so. It takes some good piloting abilities to be considered a "master" at it, especially since it's "twitch-based".

Just as in the other thread about PvP damage, if you're a good pilot, you won't get hit. This will result in some becoming well known as "barons", and I think it's awesome.

You cant not get hit since the ship hitboxs are 2x the size of the model. Its ok being hard, but this is just frustrating because you cannot continue to master. When you have to kill it you will understand how annoying it is. What are you supposed to do when you reach 4444?I was looking forward to the MP ship, but thats not gonna happen.

Well, there are master pilots in live now, so it isn't impossible, just very difficult.

It's not hard. Infact, if you know what you're doing, and have maybe a bud or two (or 3, whatever) with you, it can be downright easy. Don't charge the damned thing head on, that's just silly, it will own you in a heart beat. ITS A CORVETTE! If you're having trouble with that, wait till you get to see the ISD with 100 turrets (100, no joke). Let it be known to all how to kill a corvette (bah, I wish I didn't do this, it spoils the fun, but I don't want to vette's nerfed, they're easy enough as it is, and yes, people can still solo them)

Kill the fighters: usually they'll hang around the back end of the corvette, and you can draw them off and pick them one by one.

Kill the gunboats: usually one will be flying in the blind spot of the vette, which is at it's back end. Blow that up, wait for the other one to replace it's spot, then blow that.

Blow the shields: Target the shields and shoot them at THAT spot. Unlike most other ships, the corvette you HAVE to hit it at specific spots to do damage. A lot of people just can't seem to grasp this. Use hit and run tactics, your ship can take a few turret shots from the vette, but just not too many.

Blow the weapons: take them out, one by one, and once they're gone, it's all over.

Blow the rest: target the components till you get to the bridge, and then boom, you're done. "Game over man, game over."

You will want a good team with you on TS and such if it's your first time.

BTW, MP ships aren't all they're cracked up to be, really. They're awesome to fly and mess around in, but I'll take a TIE Advanced over my decimator in any battle.
