I was toying around with this one with a guildie and a guy I frequently help out with missions...
I made a recursive macro like this
/launchMissile;
/macro
This launched them in waves of 3... After hitting the macro 107 times, I lost connection, so I shift+esc out, disconnect, reconnect, load in, i'm still doing it. I get as far as /du when I lose connection again. I went ahead and finished /dump and hit enter, said 107 paused commands were dumped, shift+esc again, disconnect, reconnect, I was back in business.
It's actually a nice way to freak out your friends that just picked up JTL, find them with /findfriend, go to them, from a ways off, send them a tell saying hi, then /launchMissile them. Say hi again and do it again. They freak out and start asking how you do it. If you only keep it at 1 missile at a time, it's not too terribly bad. I had a rebel doing this to me yesterday in Deep Space, so I ran my macro 20 times on him... he appologized and asked me to stop lol.

Had someone I do not know do this to me the other day they stopped before I went (LD) but I was unable to /comm any of the space stations. If I was over 1200 out the /comm worked fine and I could see the animation telling me to get closer. Once I was within 1200 the animation and landing commands would not come up. I tried two different systems and could not communicate with the stations, so I logged off and back on. Everything worked once again but I had already missed three quarters of a corvette run because of this.

Basically Its a Nice little Easter egg. DONT ABUSE IT OR USE IT TO GRIEF!!! They will take it out and It will be one Neat little thing We lose.

Well to late, there all ready is grief, I just don't understand why this nice little tirck on a friend in a friendly way has to be abused. Now they will take it out of the game. So again the griefers spoil a little innocent fun for us all, just like they did for Kessel.

That trick is a plague. I did something to annoy another Rebel pilot while I was overt, and he spammed me with the fake missiles in an attempt to lag me out and make me easy meat for a passing imp. I managed to push through the lag and land thankfully, but it was a very underhanded tactic, especially coming from someone on my own side.

Anyone who uses this command ,(caps lock intentional) IS ABUSING THE GAME. The problem with this command is theres no timelimit on how fast and how often you can push it. PEOPLE USE THIS TO GREIF OTHER PEOPLE, in very very VERRY annoying ways.
Spam it enough, and all you see is white light, so you cant see anythign at all, and if you have cockpit shake on, your ship will shake so much that you'll be unable to manuever with any accuracy.
I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE DO THIS BULL**IT ON OTHERS WHO ARE TRYING TO DO THE CORVETTE MISSION.
If anyone spams you with this, F'ing PETITION THEM.
If you think this command is cool, GO FOR IT, SPAM IT ALOT, make people CRY BIGTIME.
Then the devs' will have no choice but to remove it like they SHOULD.
yes, im bitter, i HATE THIS COMMAND WITH A FERVANT PASSION! It should be removed from the game.

Wow man, relax...
Never used this command, never had it used on me. But here's the main point folks.
If you abuse it, it will go away.
If you grief players with it, they should report you and you should have your account actioned.
Wether you're an adult or not, just treat people as you would like to be treated. If you use a recursive macro with this command you are clearly an idiot. If you just lob a single missle at you guildie then no harm no foul. Spamming this at newbies... well again, you're an idiot.
Golden rule people. No need to get all upset and run around screaming like some hippie activist on cocaine. Just treat others as you would like to be treated, even better, treat others better than you have been treated and see how things change for the better.

Golden rule in an online MMORPG? surely you jest. Sadly people who are that mature reside somewhere on the low percentile range of the gaming census.
If it can be abused, people will abuse it. Just as opportunity makes the theif, opporutnity also makes the exploiting greifer.
When you have someone who will follow you around for 5 minutes and spam you with this the entire time in the most biligerant fashion, it gets on your bad side very quicklly.
