Logitech extreme 3D Pro. Its what the devs use.
How do you know what the DEVs use???
the devs have used this stick whenevr they've shown off the game, ie shows, etc. i went to a couple of big stores to get a feel for a few sticks, and the EVO and 3D pro were the only ones that felt good. the saitek one is adjustable, and although it boasts more buttons half of them are on the right side of the base for lefties. so whether you're left or right handed, the opposite buttons are akward to use - its easier to reach for a keyboard once in a while. the saitek felt kinda toy like, as if it would soon fall apart if you weren't gentle. which, in dogfights, i am not. the 3D pro felt much sturdier, heavier, and comfortable. only thing is it's for righties only. so i bought both, and ended up keeping the 3D pro. hope this helps someone

Does the Logitech Exreme Pro have twist (yaw) and is it possible to use it and never have to touch the keyboard or mousebesides typing chat?
yes, it has a twist handle, can be pretty much HOTAS for JTL (except for chat), but not for a good flight sim.
After using it for awhile, i highly doubt i'll be getting the X52 afterall. The cyborg has everything you need, and it's all build into one unit (as opposed to seperate throttle/rudder and stick). In addition to that, my personal preference is on sticks w/ a twist rudder instead of the little rolly thing they have on the throttle side of the split sticks.
I've been using it in beta since about a week after the first invites started going out, and really like it, i do have 2 complaints that are keeping me thinking about the x52.
1) I would like to have more buttons that are easy to get to. It has a trigger, POV HAT, 5 thumb buttons, and 3 base buttons that are easy enough to get to (since about every angle is adjustable), but there's 3 more buttons on the OTHER side of the base, that in order to press you'd either have to reach all the way around your right hand, or let go of the stick.
2) The throttle is in an odd place. It's easy to use, but it's right under your right wrist while you're holding the stick, that means that you're pretty much stuck keeping one hand on the throttle and the other on the stick (basically they're both stacked on eachother) which forces you to keep the stick directly in front of you, as opposed to off to the side where you can opperate it with just one hand (getting the split stick would solve this problem).
Those are 2 really minor issues that i've come to live with without much of a problem... just keep moving the keyboard to the left and using my throttle hand to hit some targetting keys now and then - and back to the throttle again.
The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is prone to failure a month after purchase so if you go with that keep the receipt. The Freedom Wireless from them however I hear good things about.
