Thread: Hello, DEV's, why is everyone flying a JSF or the grievous ship now? Take a guess..

Just think of these new fighters are the "composites" in space...
I still think the Red Tie is bugged a bit cuz it some times takes hits but receives no damage.
the ARC is very comparable to the X-Wing. the ARC's optimal throttle for bestmanuvering is slightly higher then the X-Wing but everything else seems very similar. it also has 3 hard points, one is SP and 2 MP. 150k mass is plenty, after setting up a viable X-Wing the extra 50k mass from the ARC is awsome.nothing should be changed on this ship in my opinion.

I have not commented on the ARC which is awesome looking but not being a Rebel have no way to get one. I would say it has to be a heavy class ship, so like the Vaksai, make it a little less maneuverable, but give it more weapon hardpoints and decent mass.
Whatever shall I do...
Vaksai 150k mass ONLY 1 weapon hardpoint??? WTH?
BAH! Now i dont want it anymore
Iwas hoping it to be better... (the x-wing advaced has 180k mass imho the vaksai should have thesame. including the same weapon mounts!)
I disagree though that the JSF or Bellulab is "the" best ship ingame. This only applies to PvP and THAT´s because PvP is nothing but a IntaGib-Deathmatch and therefor totally pointless.
Where´s the real dockfighting? The Tactics of droid commands during combat?
Anywhere else, but not in SWG ![]()
A dockfight should be wonby the better pilot. Not by the one having the (mostly lucky) first hit!
But as for PvE there´s a whole lot of ships that you can use.
i.e. Killing a SD or vette with the bellulab or JSF will take much longer then using a B-Wing or Firespray with ordenance. Or even the Krayt (great ship) wich never needs ordenance on big ships due to it´s imense firepower...

If what you say is true about your dogfight then either he is a very poor pilot or has a really poor/pitch/roll/yaw engine running no or low overloads. If you're on Bria duel either TacitBlue or Ostat and see what JSF is about.
No doubt in my mind that a skilled pilot with even average components can probably pwn my arse. Guess I got lucky on this one. I should note that on our first encounter I was sitting at a standstill checking email and responding to /tells. He got the drop on me and blew me to smithereens. I repaired, overloaded, declared, and went right back in (was in Kessel) and then I took him down when he tried to jump me again. Can't a reb grind some faction in peace!?
I'm on Bloodfin, the "unofficial not-in-space PvP" server. We are just now starting to see a surge in space activity due to the piloting requirements from the expansion pack. Just to give you an example, I was in both Kessel and Deep Space last night with a fully crewed Nova Courier and only saw one other player the entire time. Every once in a while you'll see a swarm of players waiting for the vette to spawn, but I think that was so people could get master to fly the Y-8.
The last thing we need is those greedy S O B crafters making special ships and capital ships.
Just because its cool everyone can expect a several million dollar price tag, hopefully SOE will be smart and countiue with the trend of quest rewards.

Care for a time trial?
