It seems ever since the item increase patch I have been failing atleast 10x more than I use to be failing. I was at my usual sampling spot where I will fail maybe once or twice but I am finding myself failing atleast 3 and 4 times in a row. The creatures are well below CL75 at about lvl 30-40 or so. Have any of you been experiencing the same thing, also I have run a couple of tests and it does for me anyways the failure rate increases when my inventory goes beyond 60 items.

Get the devs to check the code on sampling - make sure they didnt overlook the BEs (as usual). It's possible that they forgot to increase the cap on when you fail.
you don't need them, you want to give them to me.
...
and get me some orange sherbert.
I sampled to 80/80 without problems. I will be trying that a lot more tonight. If others have problems let me know. I'm reluctant to hit the panic button until we get a few more reports. As you know, it's extremely common to hear reports of changes to mask scent, crit fails, and dna sampling changes right after a patch. No idea why, but that always seems to be the case.

The day the loot publish came out I just happend to be grinding some fencer on another server. I noticed the new loot dropping. Then I noticed something strange, ONLY the new loot was dropping, and it was dropping at a higher rate than normal. In fact, the loot was dropping around 50% that first day. The loot was dropping so fast I had to stop and make paintings just to keep my invendory from filling up. Even with that I had to make a few runs to the bank to drop off paintings. I kept my eye on this for the next few days, and noticed that the loot slowly started to shift back to where I was getting other things besides the new loot. At the same time the frequency of loot drops crept back to what I'd call more normal levels (around 8.5%).
The same phenomena could be happening with mask scent and sampling.
Last I went out sampling and filled my backpack and had 78 items in inventory when I stopped. I got alot of success agro's, possibly more than normal, but not outside reasonable limits. Call it 15%. I didn't do much sampling the day of the new publish, so my base comparisons can only be made against relative pre-publish data. Maybe the client/server just "settled".

2. No, but some people find them to work a lot better. I'm still having a lot of trouble getting used to mine, though. I guess it comes down to personal preference.
