Is there a thread that lists all the stats like you just posted for the Kihraxz? Would really like to see how it matches up against the rest. I agree that 10k more mass would be great, but I'm just happy for now that they bumped it up from 30k

I have said it before in a few post's, but noone really wants to hear it. /stepuponsoapbox All the ship's are great and balanced, and all the ship's are different, it depends on you prefered flying style, and skill. Lets face it folks, everyone wants to think they are special, the best at everything, but its just not true. The very fast, hyper maneuverable spacecraft are fun to fly, but try hitting something at those speeds, it took me several hours to find my sweet spot, and I still don't hit my target 100% of the time ( I would /bug it if I did). Another misconception folks have is the tier 1 or 2 ships are not as good as the tier 3, 4, or so called master ships. This to is not true, the ships are different and that is all. The componets matter,the skill of the pilot, and the "style" you must use in that paticular type ofship. If I had gonePrivateer instead of Reb,from what I have read, and the shipstats, I know it would be my perfered ship, and I would be flying it to this day. /stepdownoffsoapbox ....have fun,please no hard feeling for my rant, I luv ya all...

Lol, thought I read through all the stickied posts up there, must have missed that one. Thanks a lot for posting those though. It really helps to see how the ships compare. I had wondered why they didn't bump the mass of the Kihraxz up to that of the Interceptor, now I know, it can out manuever the interceptor

Actually, I've got a Dunelizard with 86,107 mass. It was made by a buddy of mine that's been a crafter since the game came out. He drank some stuff and used some good materials (funny how you craft better in game when you drink). End result? A couple of amazing successes anda mass above 86k


As to the point of the thread though, I don't think Privateers have it as bad as they did before the mass tweaks to our ships. That fixed a lot by not making our tier 1 the best fighter we had. We now have a lot more range depending on style. All I can see now that would be benefitial would be:


1) Scale our ship size down a bit. For example, our light fighter is over twice the size of the other factions and has lower mass. The size makes us easier to hit than the other two factions

2) Need an official master fighter class ship. Heard the Firespray was our master ship fora while, but people whined and that's why it's all professions now. We still need to receive a cert for a single person ship when we hit master.


Fix those two things and I wouldn't be able to think of anything that upset me about being a Privateer.

Exactly. Some people, like most of the people in this thread, prefer a fast/agile ship that relies more on outrunning and outmaneuvering their opponents at the expense of good weapons, armor and shields.


Other people, like me, prefer a not-so-fast/not-so-agile ship that relies more on overpowering and outlasting their opponents at the expense of speed and maneuverability.


The mass upgrades helped this a lot. Now people have a choice of what they want to fly, depending on their style, rather than having to fly the highest level ship simply because of mass restrictions.


Like I said before, I love being able to go into battle against A LOT of ships and come out with hardly a scratch. The downside is that it takes me longer to do so because I'm not as fast and I can't turn as quickly.

That is excellent! Good to know, thank you.


My point on this thread is that we have all the ships that the other factions do. The Dunelizard is hard to hit when it's that fast.


So, the only reason I can see having a "Master Fighter" is simply for the title of "Master Fighter". Besides, take another look at the other two factions. The ships they get at master arehardly fighters. They're bombers, by all rights.

This thing is a real blast to fly! As per your suggestion, though, I'm also seeing what I can do with the Kihraxz.


I stuck my engine in that thing and my cruise speed was 1409!!!

I finally built a Kihraxz I had to put off completing the ship defensetier cause I got sick of staring at that dunelizard. Its a great ship its just ugly. Looks like the damnSpace Shuttle. I hate the engine sound also. I've heard enough of speeder bike and swoops already. The Kihraxz is awesome if you get the 92 engine in there.


I love the way it sounds like a motorcyle kind of. It was a much needed change, but actually my dunelizard setup was uber to Kihraxz, but I needed a break from the lizard. Khiraxz is fun tho, not too powerful butit would be the perfect escort craft for a kimo.


I was messin around in lok having fun not to stressfull then I go headon with Firespray AI like Tier 3 he lets me have it with missle it totally knocks my generator completely out he passes by. Cracked my chasis, fried my gen, just got done making the ship earlier.


Another player is hunting in the sector

I stare at eject and reflect on how long its been since I've had wounds.My ships just dead, I wish 4 a moment I was reb pilot

and could repair. So I just log out instead of ejecting and go to bed.


The next day, I'm back on some planet, woundless- alive.



**Kihraxz isall agility- no punch, Kimo isall punch- no agility.

this is the most important post in the thread, something that every privateer needs to read. Each profession has the same relative number of ships, each with their strengths and weaknesses. If you toss another privateer ship into the master slot, then you would have to give the other professions another ship to even things out.

Hmmmmm. Give privateer another master ship isint too bad seeing how we only get 2 at master but the firespray dont count so 1 and the others 2 each so no privateer one more ship would not hurt and ppl that would see no fair they get another ship is unfair well we dont have as many ships at master so that is unfair
