From memory, I seem to remember, Rebellion (or Supremacy as it was also known) gave the hyperspace time from Tatooine to Coruscant as being days rather than the hours we see in the films so I wouldn't trust any timescale given in that game.

I don't think there's any canon timescale given for the death star construction. Sure it was seen as being designed in Episode II but that doesn't necessarily mean construction started then.

I believe it was the Jedi Academy Trilogy, by Kevin J. Anderson - Champions of the Force, Dark Apprentice, and Jedi Search. They're not bad, but IMO they're not nearly as good as Timothy Zahn's books (Thrawn Trilogy and the Hand of Thrawn 2-book series).

Yes, they were planning the construction of the deathstar, but we don't know how much actual design work was done. The MAW installation was responsible for designing the superlaser which may not have been actually designed back in EPII, but rather just planned.

You're confusing Star-Wars Galaxies with the Star-Wars Universe. It's easy to confuse them, as SWG was similar to SWU until roughly the destruction of the first death-star. After that, there was a bizarre time-warp in SWG that merged it with the Knights-of-the-Old-Republic timeline. Since then, time appears to have been fixed in place, and many residents of SWG have been sucked into other dimensions. Some of them decidedly un-Star-Warsy names likeAzeroth, City of Heroes, etc.

Heh, even though the first one was being built shortly after EII, the second one was built in like a week....streamlined the process, less union trouble.....
