Thread: This is my Nova Courier, owned almost everywhere, not surprised as some boss wants us all to EQ2

all i'm gonna suggest is that you have a fighter escourt with you.


even though your in a multi-player ship its still 1 against how ever many enemies.


bring at least 2 or 3 other pilots in they're x-wings/B-wings/A-wings

you provide cover for them while they do the picking off of the little things


dont attack the vette head on try to pull some of the fighters back so your not fighting a whole fleet.

it can be adapted to by someone out there playing the game. btw courier means transport also.

flying the nova in this mission you are simply being outnumbered.

there is more to deal with than what the ship can handle.


the gunners are limited by the ship movement, they have to aim at something while the pilot has to try and dodge.


if you try to keep the nova steady to allow the gunners to aim properly then you will get blasted.



the purpose of the nova is to allow you to take a trip on a ship with your friends but you should always have a fighter escort of some type.


especially against ties



the millenium falcon took some damage against the ties in ep4 and that was with 4 people and 2 droids. and there was only like 4 or 5 ties.

You expect to be effective with a 4 man crew? Lets see, Pilot, Operations Officer, 2 Gunners.....who's repairing your ship? Where are your Engineers, you know, the ones that stop those annoying plasma leaks and alarms with repair kits.

With less than 6 men, dont even bother taking off, I recommend 8.

Going to have to agree with the poster somewhat on this one.


Multiplayer ships s#ck a$$ and the freaken YT-1300 doesn't have a loot box ether.


The firespray should be a normal player ship shipwright made ship and not loot part made ether that or

make the deed parts drop out of RE items more.


I want one bad but not paying 10mil for one.


I masterd and now I'm not much better in my Ryk then I was before.

we (2 gunmen 1 pilot) and another Nova and a dozen fighterswere approaching Corvette, at 700m the Nova receives the 1st shot from the Corvette, then /iffscramble, 500m is "oh nice the spacebombs are about to lock the corvette", when pulling the trigger or meanwhile the ship is destroyed by corvette.. no options to dodge, nothing, just destroyed as all the blasters hit us. Ok, maybe i should use an Ywing (or the Bwing)as is supposed to be a bomber /agree.

Anyways, even in the middle of a dogfight, and escorted by some friendly wings, u get a Tie5 advanced aggro, and ur dead. Is not simply fun, i can kill the advanced with the X-wing or the B-Wing...

I would like it so they modify Multipassenger ships so they have a 2x shield and armor modifier as well as a 1.5x weapon damage modifier for the turrets (turrets are supposed to punch through much harder than regular blasters). Plus, give us an optional slot for front mountedblasters that the pilot can fire from the cockpit (they should only have a 1x modifier, to keep it fair).

As the ship begins to receive damage, four Corvette shoots or 15 shoots of a Tier5 Advanced and really doesn't care where's the engineer, the ship is destroyed.

I used my YT1300 on the vette and was kind of successful. I had 1 co-pilot/engineer 2gunners with me and had rebel lvl4 frontshield adjust and imp engine adjust.

The attack pattern we used was attack head on, launch as many missiles as I could , gunners getting off as many shots as they can and as soon as we pass the nose of the

corvette my co-pilot IFFscrambled and my gunners stopped shooting and I hit the boosters. We didnt even suffer armor damage doing this strategy. It took 1 crash to get the

routine down, but then it worked great.

1st ofall.. the YT-1300 is flat and don't receive so much shoots.


2nd. I'm not sure, but i'd bet the Falcon has better blueprint speed rate.


3rd. you use your shields reward of 2.5k front/back. This is a dream for rebels.


4th. Your tactics are real cool, but is based in speed. I can't get ur speed in my Nova, besides this tactic is only usefull once, as u can't /iffscramble again the same ship.


5th. this new publish 11.2 will futher increase the capital ships blasters range...

the nova is neither a fighter, nor a bomber. its a freighter with some defensive armament.


so when you want a heavy and slow bomber, take a B-Wing or a Longprobe. when you want a fighter , grab an X or A-wing.


the multi person ships arent intended to be effective fighters. its like trying to outmaneuver an F-16 in a 747.


when you bring it into combat, bring escorts that take the aggro and supply supportfire. you cant do much more in it.


for going after the corvette - best ship is a longprobe with double launchers escorted by some A-Wings.

the awings draw the fire and escorts away from you and you snipe of shields and engine first


then the mission owner goes in and kills the bridge (using missles)

No, your just as much supposed to fight the corvette in the nova as your supposed to be susccesfull in pvp with one hehehe.

I havent got my nova yet, and im in no hurry, got master neutral pilot in beta and used the y1300 a bit and with just one pilot and two gunners a swarm of tier3s took us down, tho i agree with the poster saying around6-8 is a good crew.... if they can work together that is.

personally i think the ywing-longprobe is the best allround ship for the higher tier stuff, it can take a beating and deal a beating.
