You need to go space overt which is done at faction space stations.
An Imperial one is in Endor near the Imperial Hyper Point (or is it the emporors i forget).
Then the station to go to deep space or kessels is in the same system at the dirillium sea Hyper point.
On a side note, I recomend Deep Space because you never get any decay on any of your components or chassis from there. When ever you leave deep space you become fully reapaired for free.
If you ever get in a tough fight with a pack of NPCs just start hypering to delirum sea (or what ever its called) and once you get out you will be fully repaired and you can head right back into the fray

Although you can't travel into deepspace overt, you can go into deepspace and you will go overt.
Deep space can be a horrible place to grind FP though.... if any rebels get near the ISD it starts shooting off its 100 or so guns, then welcome to ultra space lag.
