jedi starfighter model is already in the expansion... whether or not it will be jedi only has not been released.

tie advanced are also in game, for imperial use so i assume a dark jedi could get one.

sith infiltrators are not confirmed yet (although they look really cool)

Its an A-wing (which looks simular)in the Expansion... didnt see anything confirming Jedi Starfighters.

little EU stuff as someone mentioned the jedi starfighter was a delta-12 aethersprite, which was produced by Kaut systems, but was later sold to Sienar systems. Since the fighter itself was somewhat cheap to make (the hyperdrive ring was made by someone else) later models either had a built-in hyperdrive or none at all. Anyway, Sienar got most of the starfigher contracts from the Empire and even though the no hyperdrive idea was continued with the TIE fighter (wish that was something to consider in the expansion) the delta line was discontinued. It really wouldnt make much sence to see a jedi starfighter since they are pretty much gone.

Well yeah, there would be no reason to see them around cause they are older models. Which is one thing I was trying to say, the Sith infriltraitor, and Jedi Starfighter are at very least three decades old at this point of time.

Not sure if anyone asked this question yet, but... I had a few things I was wondering about the space expansion...

1. Ifa Jedi dies in space is that a "tracked death"?

2. Do/will Jedi get any special space combat abilities?

Just curious to see how the gameplay for Jedi characters will be.

If a Jedi dies in space ...do we hear him/her scream? Heh. I don't believe this should be a "tracked death" ...but thats just me. No idea what the official line is.

As for #2 ....I thinksomeJedi playerswill get special space combat abilities. Like, if you can pull the trigger on your joystick really fast like a Jedi ..you'll shoot really fast. Or if you have Jedi-esque reflexes in real life ..you'll be able to do some uber-maneuvers.

My guess is that if jedi get anything at all in space it will be in the form of being able to sense targets stats, or something to that affect, before you have to close in to ID the ship manually.

That, and there's the possibility that they might be able to use the Jedi Starfighter.

Nornally I would say let Jedi lose xp in space. But (there is always a but) if they make it so becoming a jedi is a task for your main character, this means that you might have to use your main character as a jedi in space and this will bring unnecessary grief to the game.

First of all, is it even possible for Jedi to die in space? The last official word I've read (and by all means correct me if I'm wrong) was that there would be no total destruction of ships. I'm not sure whether that means that the worst that will happen is you lose all your ships components and have to limp home to get your ship fixed up or what.

As for Jedi skills in space, in the SW universe itself Jedi have an advantage due firstly to a spider-sense style ability to detect danger and react before it occurs as well as better situational awareness due to them basically being able to sense their opponents presence. Obviously you can't really implement these ingame, so I'd assume that you'll have some sort of bonuses to represent this

My guess is that it will be implemented along the same style as the passive force-sensitive boxes that they're gonna implement with pub 10. I'd assume you'd get skills like force targeting (like Luke used in ANH to destroy the Death Star) which would give a bonus to damage representing you picking out weak spots, and force awareness that would simulate prescience by giving extra manoueverablility.

Just my 2 creds.
