No only EB Games and Gamestop had the speeder Promotion. And dispite popular rumors...SOE has nothing to do with the speeders.

i emailed them last night and i got a reply saying they will send my my codes this week

I don't think so unless they ordered from Gamestop or EB Games would be the only way anyone gets the speeder. And no its not the small numbers you have to have a Beta CD Key...not the ones sent out by SOE. EBGames are emailing some users with the Pre-order Keys...but last I heard Gamestop has none left.
oh ok thanks for clearing it up. i ordered in time so i should get one soon.. i hope, got an ETA?

You would have to call your EB or Gamestop. You may or may not get one...ask if you are getting the Promo CD (Beta) if they say no...call around and see if any local stores have them that you could get a copy.

I called gamestop- they don't make the beta cd's. SOE runs the game, makes the cd's, and supplies the retailers with them. My point is, how hard is it to put a damn speeder in my inventory? I paid for the game, ordered it before launch (fit's my description for PRE-order). So SOE screwed up by not sending enough beta cd's to cover it's jtl launch. Not my prob-their screwup.. all I want is my damn speeder! there are thousands others like us who rightfully deserve it but will be told: "you're sol", "not our responsibility". I urge everyone who has not recieved their speeders keep it up and let SOE know it must fix it's mistakes. This is fraudulent marketing. Right on the like to PRE-ORDER the game from the station launchpad it lists other stores that won't even send beta disks, however it does say you will recieve one. I don't remember seeing "if you preordered the game, your SOL", "If you live in the U.K., your SOL".

SOE isn't the one that promoted the Speeder.
Gamestop and EB Games did. Like I said just call the STORES and see if they have any extra Beta CD's.
SOE has nothing to do with the Pre-order Flashspeeder "Gifts" Thats all EB and Gamestop.
Call your local Stores...ask and if they have a copy of the beta ask them to hold it for you and run and pick it up.

so SOE has gamestop programmers on payroll? Gamestop and EBgames developed the flash speeder? I've called gamestop as I've said b4, both the company and only store within 100miles-no beta cd's. The Gamestop rep told me sony did not ship enough beta cd's, which tells me gamestop has nothing to do with their development-they're only a retailer.
Sony didn't ship enough beta cd's to cover it's own launch. My point is it's SOE'S responsibility to distribute speeders to those who preordered as promised. My point is to encourage ppl not to let it go.

The issue is not with gamestop, I also pre-ordered my game there. The issue is sony did not ship enough beta disks to cover it's JTL launch. Gamestop placed it's own deadline for beta disks, which was the 14th. They removed all references of the flash speeder on that date (didn't put anything saying you WEREN'T going to get it either).
The Problem lies with sony. Gamestop doesn't make the beta disks, only distributes them. They're a retailer. SONYplaced the link from the launchpad touting the flash speeder, and gave a link to 4 websites where you could preorder and recieve game and speeder. They are: Amazon, Gamestop, EB games, and Lucasarts.
I never recieved a Beta disk either, I ordered my game on the 23rd. But after talking to reps from both gamestop, sony and SOE, I have finally recieved it. Here's the breakdown:
Gamestop did not recieve enough data disks to cover the JTL launch.
Gamestop doesn't make them, only distributes them for SOE.
SOE placed an outdated and innacurate link to preorder JTL, touting a "flash speeder bonus". Two of the company's listed to preorder from never even had beta disks, And none were shipping them to the U.K. This was mentioned nowhere on the page, nor a deadline.
In essence, it's S.O.E'S BAD.
Don't listen to all the unhelpful a--holes who will tell you "your SOL"or "you should have read the website better". Gamestop had a "while supplies last".
That's not the point. Point is SOE OWES YOU A SPEEDER BECAUSE IT SAYS SO ON THE LINK TO PREORDER
Call soe online at (858) 790-7827. Explain to the rep when you talk to him that you preordered the game. If you're account shows that the game is a preorder he will flag your account for a speeder. Sony realized they made a mistake but it's up to you to follow through on it and get your speeder.
I got my speeder this way through persistance and not paying attention to the "haha shoulda payd attention" posts from the uninformed.
