im just pointing out how a lot of people feel and why your getting the response your getting. its just the way of MMO.

recently i had a good friend give his account to a RL friend and i still thought it was my friend when the character logged back in. so i strike up a conversation since i hadnt seen this person in a long time. this person knew who i was since he often watched my friend play. now im carrying on a conversation thinking this is my friend but its not. when i finally figured it out it was very very very horrid feeling.

thats the sort of thing that most folks hate. their hatred prolly isnt so much at you but at what your representing. your going to be on a ship and working closely with a lot of people imagine if your best friend after months of geting to know them suddenly didnt know who you were and acted like you didnt exist and started treating you like an ass?? not saying your going to treat people that way but its a good description of what canhappen.

you need to understand that the only reason there's any negativity in this thread is because you told us that you are using someone elses jedi, had you left that out the responses would have been completely different. at worst someone would have said read the faq and others would have given helpful advise.

one of the problems jedi face is a a poor reputation, partly because of rude jedi, partly the devs stupidity of allowing overts to give frs exp, and partly because of e-bayed jedi knights running around acting like fools.

you should have kept the part about "acquiring" someones elses character to yourself, if you did you would have had a warm welcome.

Jedi is a much sought after end-game status, that takes a massive effort to accomplish. The accomplishment of unlocking is only the prelude, all the savy, knowledge, wit, and skill the unlock required will be needed to just stay alive, after you are Jedi. To consider starting play as a Jedi is insane, and you can expect resentment because you have not earned the right to wear the robe and saber. My advice, say no thinks, I’ll pass, and buy a new copy of SWG. When you understand the game, and have earned the Jedi status, you will know what to do.
