I would still be here, after reading more into the books and getting more into SW since playing, I think BH is the best profession for me. I love BH, with or without jedi , I love BH.
I was once asked, " is bounty hunting a sport?. I simply said "no it isnt".
I was then asked " is Bounty Hunting a hobby?". I simply replied "no it sint".
I was then asked "well what is it then?" I then replied to him, " Sorry to burst your Bubble Jedi, butIts just buisness!"
no you can't..unless if you and your brother hunt mobs 33m away each other.
you get vis in 33m from non animal npcs and players. so if you and your brother stay away 33m each other, you guys are fine. but either your bro or you should learn novice force power first so either one stay away 33m and use force hit.

I bought the SWG:TTE and was grind my new toon this weekend. I was out with some guildees and others. There where 4 jedi in the group. A BH came and took a mission on one of the jedi. Killed him. Fine. One of our group (non-jedi) started on the hate screaming. We told him to shut his trap...its over. The BH said I'll be back...I hate trash talkers...Fine...One of the jedi begged the bh to take his mission.
10 minutes pass. One of the Jedis losses connection. BH shows up. Strats pounding said Jedi. I offer to pay the bounty becauses he's LD. BH says "Not in it for the money"(thats why I'm in it but hey) and proceeded to tripple incap the jedi.
I know BH are the scum of the universe (like I said I are one) but come on...the jedi is LD and the group offers to pay 2x the bounty. Isn't there a gamers code. That could be you in the gcw...It was sad. I felt ashamed to be a BH at the time.
Any thoughts?

That all depends on how you look at it. One side of the case may say that the Jedi doing a LD from a boot or what have you would be considered by a BH as a kill like getting their target in the middle of the night while they slept.
The other side of this say that it is a complete unfairness.
i personally think that getting a mark when "accidentially" being booted is wrong. if the mark knowingly does a LD in a non safe area then its their loss. Then again, how would the BH know this? common sense really is what it boils down to. most jedi are aware of being hunted by BH's so i would say that 95% of them LD in a safe area. So, with that, if a BH sees a mark LD in the middle of the naboo plains, it is most likely the jedi was booted. And the BH should know this. It is not a good thing to take a LD jedi that had gotten booted. it doesn't make for a good fight and secondly the BH i think would rather own the jedi anyway while they are logged.
just a thought.
There are too many exploiting, scamming, whining Jedi for me to try and pick out the few honorableones out of all the bad apples. If you start trying to bribe me, or you go LD or anything else I automatically assume you are trying to scam me now.Message Edited by Hazelina on 06-01-2005 08:54 AM

I will be honest, I thought about killing the guy, but then I thought that would be pretty low. So I agree to let them pay me off (hey, I'm a BH I need my payday heh). So I stand around with these Jedi and they start stalling me. I sensed something was up but I gave them time to pay me.

"I don't have the money, getting a loan from my friend just a sec."
The excuses went on for a few minutes and before I realize it the Jedi I incapped disappeared from the game. When that happened his friends started laughing and told me they don't pay off BH's.
I then rode about 200m away. Went /cover and spent 20 minutes crawling to where the Jedi went LD. The other Jedi went back to grinding and sure enough a good 10 minutes later the Jedi pops again. This time I incapped him with my rifle, then ran up to him and quickly got the deathblow. Then I was the one laughing.
The moral of this story is I will NEVER accept a payoff from a Jedi because of this. Ever. And if you are a Jedi and go LD, afk or whatever I will kill you WITHOUT mercy. You dn't like it? Tough sh+t

I am an advocate for fair play. i tend to lean towards the jedi in most cases. but I will say this. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! if the jedi did that to you. He deserved to die. That is not what i call a Jedi in my book. Yes let them run, FR away, get on a bike. but to cheat you like that. he deserved a DB. and I am glad you did it.
