Sorry to be negative on this one. But I would not fly either the YT-2400 or the YT-1300...
As for the 2400, it just doesn't look right. It looks wierd. It looks like someone took a 1300 and modified the mandibles on the front of the saucer to hold a different flight deck... and now it flies sideways. It doesn't look right; doesn't even look like it is properly balanced... gotta be a b!tch to land on a planet with gravity when the entire left side of the ship is more weighted down compared to where the pilot is sitting.
I don't want the YT-1300 either; because it is the only MPS for freelance pilots at the moment, and since it is basically the Millenium Falcon then how many people obviously have to have it?
I don't want to be just another Han Solo racing around the galaxy in a YT-1300.
Unfortunately; the YT-1300 will probably be my only choice for a MPS when the time comes when I'll be needing one.
Personally; I vote for a non-Corellian type Freighter ship to be added. I vote for more diversity.. any other ship except for just another YT that everyone just has to have, just because it is a YT that someone famous in the Star Wars Universe was flying.... Or I would put my vote in for the Nova Courier to be more usuable by all factions... Rebel; Imperial and Freelance. Just like the KSE Firespray.
Then for a ship exclusive to the Rebels, give them one of those freighter/transports seen in Episode V, evacuating the Rebels out of their Hoth Base. Because who says a Transport can only be used to transport troops? It can be used to transport freight and goods as well right? After all; what do you suppose those Rebels on Hoth used to transport all of their sensitive materials out on? Hoth was obviously one of their key bases so you know that they had to have had some very valuable things there the Empire could have used against them; so they had to obviously get all those valuables off the planet somehow.

gotta say, the addition of the YT-1300 in swg was a blatant, disappointing marketing ploy.

Personally i think that the YT-1300 does *NOT* match the design style of any other Privateer ship, and therefore should not be in JtLS. The YT-2400 would have made a much more sensible addition to JtLS, but sadly the marketing team clearly called the shots.

...just my take on things. I think the Firespray should have been privateer only, and i think a gunboat version of the starport starship would be cool. I think we should be able to dock with MP ships, walk around etc. I think that space stations with dodgy npc vendors and random IMP raids would kick ass. I think alot of things, all of which are quite easily implementable.
But none of it will happen.
Im waiting for something like everyone having the ability to get Anakin Skywalker's podracing helmet in simple, low-level npc quest somewhere on Tatooine... oh.. wait. Never mind.

Based on looks alone, I really don't have a burning desire for one. I like the 1300 look better.

let's do it.
We could have the 2400 be the privateer ship and make the 1300 available to all factions (like the firespray)

I think it's more likely the YT-2400 would be availible to all factions, personally I'd like to see it that way, but I'm bias because I was a Privateer and decided to try out Rebel Pilot due to the lack of iconic Star Wars fighters in Privateer.

You're not the only one who feels that way. YT-1300 is fun for privateers though something better would be more suitable.
YT-1300, YT-2400, Ghtroc, etc should all be a third class of multiplayer ships that should be part of a 4th "independent" faction. Kinda like privateers but more civilian / non combat oriented.
Or at the very leaast available to everyone in the manner of the Firespray

Ship Info
It's the newest in the YT series by Corellian Transport, and the best ship there is, better than the YT-1300 by 40 years of advancements.
Also the character Dash Rendar from "Shadows of the Empire" uses a modified YT-2400 named the "Outrider" as his personal ship. This ship is also seen briefly hovering over Mos Eisley.

Man Id get that ship too. I currently have my YT 1300 and I have called it THE ECLIPSE. That ship is moded to the Hilt and I have fun in it still. I even skip the Insta Travel to fly it and have adventures in it soloing. Esspecially when Bounty Hunting, i do lots of traveling. Im just wondering when will we be able to use our pets to Co-pilot the ships. At least a droid should be able to move the turrets and shoot for Multiplayer ships.
But man if that ship comes out, im getting that one too!!!1
