i was visited by the old man a couple of days ago.i been to the village and did the patrol and unlock combat prowess novice. should i master that before i do another quest or should i unlock all quest and grind my ass off. or if i'm doing it wrong please let me no thanks

dizmull is retired as of 12-16-05 cause of retirement nge.

You can do it either way although you have a 3 week phase til the next quest you can do. You might as well try your best to fill up the tree you unlocked during this time.

I live in a city where the mayor has become incative. He sent us his account and the city wants me to pick up politician which I have done.

Many moved from the city causing us to lose the shuttle. Which leads to my question. We intend to have everyone that left move back and declare residence which will put us back to the 50 citezens to get the shuttle back. And we have the old Mayor's account to drop the shuttle.

Questions Below As a Novice Politician,

can I drop a shuttle?

What happens when I run for mayor and win, but dont have the exp or skills for all the city structures that were dropped by the previous mayor?

How can I gain XP now prior to being Mayor if not having skills causes an error.

We intend to keep the old Mayor's account active only for a 30 day period not indefinitely.

So basically we want to transfer Mayor to me but not lose the perks of the previous Mayor.

Try and get the city back up to 55 citizens. Once you do that,have the original Mayors toon drop the shuttleport. After this, get another 20 or so citizens to join, and have all of them and any actuve citizens vote for you.

Hi!

Let me help you out here... It is pretty straightforward - I've been a mayor since day one, so I understand the pain associated with running a city!

Some of the information in the previous post is not accurate, so I will expand a little - it gets confusing when people post the wrong information. Also, the FAQ in this section is pretty good - check there too.

1. No, Novice Politicians cannot drop shuttleports - you need to be at least 2-0-0-0 in the profession AND your city needs to be a Rank 4 (City). There is no guarantee that having 55 citizens will make you a Rank 4 - your city may have lost its status and been replaced by another city and the planet could be at its cap.

2. Nothing. Your skills are independent of being mayor - they are just like any other profession. You need to get votes to get XP - 100 per citizen that votes for you per week.

3. By getting people to vote for you - just get people to keep voting each week and you will be earning XP.

4. Makes sense, but with only 50 or so citizens, you will only make 2000XP which will not be enough to getto 2-0-0-0 (you need 2500) and you would not be able to do things like manage militia if you spend all of your XP to get the shuttle.

The best approach is to get the citizenship up, lose the other mayor's toon and then focus on getting XP for you.

Unless i'm mistaken, presuming that all 50 people will vote for the new mayor, he will get 50 * 100 = 5000 xp points?

As a new mayor myself, i've been very incy on getting people to vote (still got 2 days untill update) I would presume that if you temp. joined another city, run for mayor (after talks with the current mayor!) and allow say, 10 people to vote for you, that would be 1000 xp points, if it does work that way.
