wow, page 2 topic but I couldn't let it go unanswered....
Have you listened to yourself? Jedi is ina stateofshambles as it is, without people berating others on the forums, I have been playing since launch and been Jedi sinceearly 2004 (no, not another im pre-pub 9 ph34r me cos im uber! posts).
You propose to speak against the Jedi community as a whole with your generalised remarks about the nerf-calling or dis-satisfication with the prof? Well Iam sorry,but youshould not condemn us under the same general "rule".
There are those of us who do not spam meditate in theed or coro, We do NOT go putting on a lightshow in bestine etc because we remember this game as it used to be, and I do not usually do this (other people who know me will confirm this) but considering your registration date (it could be bugged and i apologize if this is the case) you do not have the whole story, therefore you do NOT have all the facts...hence the conclusion of your scathing sarcastic post against Jedi is both unfounded and with lack of physical/mental foundation due to lack of experience of the system that was employed before your entrance to the universe of SWG.
Remember Perma-death? Remember No buffs cos there were no MDocs? Remember having to walk 4K without mounts or vehicles? Remember Saber TEF which meant anyone could attack you? Rememberthe holo-grind? Remember the "OMG I JUST SAW A JEDI!!!! feeling when like 2-3 ppl in total were jedi on the whole server?
Sorry if you take this as a flame but I have been here since the start (as have a few others who post) I hate the state of Jedi atm, I think the game is unbalanced (against the Jedi), I think the CU sucks etc etc....but do not propose to represent the entire Jedi population with Jibes and sarcastic remarks...I love the game even though it sucks. I was here long before you (again sorry if the reg date is inaccurate), and I will most likely be here long after you leave (given your current dissatisfaction, (as will a bunch of others). We have a right to complain if we so wish, do you go posting on other forums about how Marksmen should have shorter cooldown timers? or how Merchants should get more vendors at master? no?
Be constructive, add ideas, come up with content....they may not get implemented but you can say "I had this idea to do this etc" people appreciate fresh ideas to improve our community, not old rehashed pot-shots.
Granted, there is a large portion of the Jedi community who call nerf on others, but this is purely a defensive action because 99% of other profs (combat profs for the most part) call nerf on us. And also because all the professionsare so unbalanced atm.. I say take 2 months off from expansions and other projects, use it to fix the bugs and professions then we can move on from there.
I honestly don't mean to sound demeaning or condascending but there are more constructive ways to address the issues with Jedi and the nerfs than basically taking the p*ss out of the general community for caring about the state of the Jedi profession...
