Geo pistol... check

Healing self... check

Dodge defenses... check

Looks good to me, and the ranger I guess for aiding bh missions. And it uses all your skills points, with not one to spare

If you want to do pure PvP, then Master Pistoleer / 0040 BH may be a better option, the template you suggest is good for BH missions too.

This is my first MMORPG and I am curious how to start training in the Scout profession. I am currently a marksmen and I would like to work on both skill trees at one time. Thanks for the help

SentrySteve85, there is some sound advice to be had for how to advance in the marksman and scout trees on the forums for "Scout" and "Marksman". If you are interested in the Bounty Hunter profession, there are plenty of people on these boards that will give you great advice once you reach Novice Bounty Hunter. Try checking out the FAQ's in the two prerequisite professions. They should give you what you need. If you still have questions, post in the forum for the profession you need help with. Best of luck .

You will want to visit an NPC scout trainer found in almost every city (and maybe even some player cities). The NPC scout trainer will be able to teach you 'Novice Scout' for a nominal fee (200 credits I believe).

From there, you will need 3 types of experience: Scout, Trapping, and Wilderness Survival. Scout xp can be gained by 'harvesting' animals after you have killed them. Trapping xp can be gained by crafting traps and using them on the animals. Wilderness xp can be gained by making camps and using them to regerate your wounds and damage.

You may want to visit the Scout profession forum and read the FAQs there to get your started.

Dusk pretty much hit it on the head. Except one correction: crafting traps *and* camps yields Wilderness Survival XP. Wilderness XP also comes from fishing and sitting in camps for a period of time.

For more information on leveling scout check out the comprehensive Scout FAQ Delta has put up on that forum. Good luck to you.

They like to abbreviate our components a lot around here

ABEC is an Advanced Biological Effect Controller (you were given the schematic in the medic crafting tree)

You will need Lokian Wild Wheat and Tatooinian Fiberplast to make them

At one point there were nightsister drops that had mele component on them and looked like crystals and were said to be saber additives. I do not know what happened to them but they were very popular around rev 4. All I have ever found are the ones that are not useable and have generic item when you place your mouse arrow over them.
