Because it supports game mechanics. The bh/jedi system is designed as a player based way of controling the jedi population. If all bh ever did was go after the big game hunts, everyone would be free to grind their way to knight. A good bh who knows he is doing his part to control the jedi overpopulation will hunt any jedi, paddie or knight. Also dont forget there are alot of new bh out there that are just as interested in mastering bh (I use the term figuratively, not just getting the the skillbox) as paddies are in getting knight. These guys need easier kills to learn how to hunt. Just as you are helping him learn how to hunt jedi, he is helping you learn how to defend yourself and stay off the terms.

Alright, let me just start with this:
I respec'd to Master Dancer just for the heck of it. And I came to really like it. So I've decided to keep it
. So I just thought I would say Hi
.
Anyway, moving on hehe. I decided to do the Dancer quest in the theater. So I went there, talked to the theater manager, and of course little 'ol me accidentally clicked on Musician instead of Dancer
.
I have little skill in Music, so this became a problem.
Anyway, I asked in groupchat, guildchat, wondering if anyone knew how to cancel the Musician quest, because I wasn't able to. All of them said they had no clue as what to do.
So I was wondering if anyone knew any way to cancel the quest, people have been telling me to just go ahead and try the quest. Thing is, I don't have much skill in Musician, and don't have the SP for it, so I'm afraid It'll take a while.
Thanks for your help, sorry if this has been answered before
. (searched forums and came up with nothing)

To my knowledge there is no way to cancel the quest.
If you are lucky a CSR maybe able to reset you on the quest (i.e. mark you as not having started it) if you ask them nicely.

First, a big welcome to the dancer community!
I don't know if theres a way to cancel the musician quest. If necessary you could just try to finish it. The quest should not make you play songs that you can't do, so if you can only play up to Starwars 2 for example it should not tell you that the audience would terribly like Virtuoso (Master Musician song)
So if you're lucky you can finish the quest in a few hours (depends on how fast you can get the people to watch you). To learn Western then though you'll need 0010 Musician (or 1000) or your XP cap won't be high enough to bank 400k xp, but you can put the "schematic" in your bank and ignore it.
Be careful, if you have an inspiration buff the learning costs 440k XP not 400k (but it will only check for 400k, so you can end up with -40k xp)

Unfortunately, there is no way to cancel the quest. Soo..I guess you'll just have to try out musician too.
Welcome to the best professions in the game! I just love to see another addict in the making!

welcome
you can complete the musician quest really quick if you can get enough people to watch you(if it comes down to it you could always head to a SP and ask ppl to listen to ya for a few seconds)and listen to what the audience asks forwhen youperform(they seem to like music more than dance for some reason
) after you complete the music quest you can take up the dance part and do that too

Isn't it also possible to dance for the music quest and play music for the dance one and still get credit? I never did it because I didn't have any music skills before the respec, but I seem to remember reading that here.
