Well, according to starwars.com, the YT-2400 was around in Ep IV as someone said, it was Dash's Ship...The Outrider, which was seen flying around Tatoonie when Luke left that fateful day.
The Falcon was a YT-1300 (just to be picky)

Yes I would like to see more ships on release, but understand the idea of time management

Why only the YT-2000 and the YT-2400? why not the Corellian Transport, and maybe the Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle... i dont want to see everyone having a YT-1300 or flying around in there Veteran SoroSuub, so maybe if we have a bigger choice of multipassenger ships... then thats okay.. also, let us play Holo-Chess!

Instead of having just all Corrilian made multi-person ships, why not add multi ships like Skipray Blastboat, Lambda Shuttle and the like first? Makes much more scence to have variety over just YT models. Isn't the 1300 enough?
