Not only are some of these ships outside the timeline but they're assigned to the wrong factions. The Carrack cruiser is an Imperial 'bulk cruiser' of the sort Han Solo compares unfavorably to the Star Destroyer.


We really don't need new ships. There are enough far out designs that kinda bend immersion already - how many TIE Aggressors or Oppressors does anyone recall from the films? Still, variety to an extent is important to make all factions enjoyable. And a ship like the Aggressor mirrors classic German WWII aircraft like the Stuka just as a Y-Wing comes off as a Dauntless divebomber. It fits in a broad sense.


Right now the real effort for GCW factions needs to be on capital ships and stations as well as creating a game holding systems in the GCW. I've read some interesting posts about boarding actions in conjunction with space combat and after the combat rebalance these kinds of actions would be very fun. Devs should spend much more time here for the factional folks.


Independants don't really need more ship types - they really need more hull styles and textures to really customize the heck out of their machines. You don't really need a whole bunch of new ships from the ground up if each existing ship is properly defined in its role and given the existing flexibility to customize components and such. Just make freelancer ships highly, highly, customizable in appearance. That makes up for the lack of capitol ships and stations they really don't need anyhow. (At least until the criminal expansion comes out - running a grubby smuggling outpost could be fun...).

When did SWG ever follow the time line???? Big example the Jedis, Endor,Talon Karrade making him the leader of the Smuggler Alliance is wrong he was the leader after ROTJ, the Mandal Armor and the Fierspay "Slave1", Jnago Fett distroyed all of it in his ship is unique, The B-wing was created only after TESBetc....

1- this is aPropose. so it can change.


2- again when did SWG follow the rule of the right ship for each faction? the Z95 is used by Neutral and Rebel, in SWG Privateer don't have it.


IN SWG Pirate NPC fly X-wing, the X-wings are until ROTJ Rebel Ship only. The YT300 a ship flown by all faction (SWG Privateer only) etc....


so u see SWG never, or really rar,folow the rules of the Movies or the EU. why? because it's a game and they have to break the rules for the fun of the Game.



but I agree with u we need first change in the GCW and the combat ballance first and not a loot system revamp or any thing else.

If they make an other expansion where every1 can smuggle, or We Smuggler have to buy an expansion to get our revamp, I will come by my self from Germany to the State and Destroy the SOE Office.
