Harvest from creatures you kill.

My bad...that's scouting experience. Not sure how to edit that previous post so I'll have to make a new one. To get survival experience you need to make camps in the wilderness. The length of time the camp is up and the number of players who visit it help to determine the amount of experience you get.

I have just started playing SWG so this might be a stupid question.

I thought being an architect would be cool.

My questions is, since I also would like to participate in the factionwar later;

can I be -both- a decent architect and a decent fighter? I mean are there enough skillpoints to do both?

thx.

hard question to answer but I would say yes.

If you just did the engineering tree in artisan then you would have enough to master a elite fighting skill, and with pistols the way they are then yes you would be a decent little fighter. Of course someone who devotes all of there skill to fighting will be a little better but you cant have your cake and eat it too.

Well you should be able to master or at least come close to mastering one of the elite melee or range professions, ie TKA, Carbineer, etc. It all depends on what you decide to put points in so you might want to read the different forums and get an idea of what combat profession would be best for you.

Right now I am trying to go master Ranger ,Carbineer. I just gave up master marksman <only> still have 4/4/4/4 to free up points because I'm ASSUMING i have to keep master scout which is pointless at master ranger... Do I have to keep scout now that I'm Ranger? I have novice medic only so I can use stims but may have to give that up for a stim droid if I have to keep scout. I am really reluctant to dropmarksman because I think I'm going to go rifleman next.

You have to keep master Scout. You have to keep all the prereq's to all skills, or else you could master everything.

I had mastered scout and Markwoman at the same time. I stayed master markswoman as I mastered Ranger. When I decided to master Riflewoman I slowly removed skills from the markman trees, starting with carbines, then Ranged support, finally pistol. I have kept novice medic for stim use, and have since climbed up ranged support for warning shot. This has worked great for me, hunting critters.

For the life of me, can not understand mastering marksman, unless you had the frontal lobotomy and are going BH.

Pick a weapon, do it. Ignore the other two. MM is less than useless, ranged support has one useful shot, and thats warning which makes some animals run away.

I novice PIstoleer, Rifleperson or Carbineer (omg,... carbine, yet another broken profession) will get higher missions than a master marksman.

I mastered marksman, realized it was a waste as I like Pistols best and went from there. Only time I have ranged support is when someone trains me in it, 100,000 times. No, I did not stutter, I maxed combat and can be trained in Ranged stupid one that many times. I make some good creds doing that too. Train, drop, train, drop.... yawn.

Ok, I quit back in October. I heard SWG was pretty good now, so I came back. I love it! I only have one problem though, I have reached 1-1-1-1 in the Imperial Pilot profession, and my instructor gave me the Authorization of Transfer thing. I signed it and talked to him again. All it lets me say is that I have lost the Trasfer pad or I want a duty or training. What do I do?
