These 3 things should available for EVERY player in the game, not a select few.
hahahahahaha.....what select few.......you buy ityou get it....its not few or select. its available to everyone.
You think you haven't lost anything. You don't realize that the reason you haven't lost many accounts is because people are trading accounts like a brother and sister do candy after their halloween haul. when WoW and EQ2 hit the market, you'll feel it. you treat your customers like trash with an arrogant stance in every aspect of what you do, even in the forums. I won't be leaving because that fantasy creature/wizard crap holds no interest for me. But you can be guarenteed that when i do leave, i will never play another SOE MMO again and will advise anyone i know to avoid them like the plague.
you need to learn to shut up. with your attitude i hope you never play another soe mmo again. BE GONE

You do realize when EQ2 adds new content with an expansion, only those who buy it will get access. Consider EQ, you cannot get to the Planes of Power unless you buy the expansion. In DaoC, you cannot do the Artifact quests unless you get the Atlantis expansion.
Some games have free expansions but then again, when content is added with the publishes, we are getting free expansions. Some expansions are so large, add such a huge anount of fuctionallity, raise the level of the game up a notch that EVERY on-line game out there charges for the expansion and restricts access to those who bought it.
In general, your complaint is not with SOE but with every publisher out there.
Consider single player games, when Doom III comes out with an expansion pack, you will have to pay for it. When Civilization III released the Conquests add-on, you had to buy it. Same thing here.

I am not goiing to one star you or be an ignorant, inconsiderate flamer. However, I do disagree.
JTL was made for SOE to make money, infact, SOE's purpose is to make money. So, by realeasing the expansion they make money. They are not here to please those that do not help them. Therefore, they will not give bonuses to anyone that does not pay them.
The argument that I accept from you as valid, is that the devsare skipping a publish. Publish 10 was released on September first. So, with a 6-8 week span between publishes, they are should actually be releasing publish 11 right now. If they wanted to follow their rules, they would call the addition of JTL publish 11.
Unfortunatly, those that don't pay will be left in the dust. Ofcoarse, I cant imagine anyone not getting JTL because of the money. I would pay 3 times as much as what they are actually charging.Infact,I have been counting down the days until JTL since about the first week of september. Only seven left!
EDIT: Oh, and on the whole "SWG is going to die once (insert soon-to-be-released game here) comes out" thing. Players have been saying this for over a year. It happened with Lineage 2, it happened with Horizons, people have said thisevery timea newMMOis released. Unless one of them is VERYgood, it isn't going to happen.

wow.....this got some strong responses.
I think understand the direction mordan is coming from. JTLS space based,thusi can see the reasoning why some ppl would wonder why is it necessary to purchase access 2 characters and have access to a crafting prof that doesnt require them to be in space. Making someone pay for a profession like shipwright wouldkinda sortabe like saying to someone they have to pay to be able to access the ability to becoming a jedi. (might get flamed for this...but i think i have some good arguements for this to support my point...)
It sorta leadstothe veteran rewards that was promised months back. The veteran reward in the form of the lady luck style luxury liner is nothing more than a marketing scheme to get ppl to buy JTL. A true veteran reward recognizes and rewards players who have stuck with the game as long as they have.

Well I have been playing since dec'03 and i have yet to need customer service help so I can't comment on that. I have had fun in SWG and continue to have fun and i'm getting the expansion. Expansions cost money to make, design, develop, and produce and distribute. Now you can not make this undertaking with out getting reimbursed in some way. All games that have had expansions sold them Core combat for Planetside was an expansion you had to buy. Frozen Throne was an expansion to Warcraft 3. Age of titans i think was an expansion to Age of Mythology. Hell look at all the Sims expansions.
true the Veteran reward of a ship that can only be used in JTl is a little off setting to some. If SOE wanted more money they could have charged us and extra fee every month to play JTL, but thier not Thier only charging to buy it once per account. I am not here toflame I'm justoffering my opinion.

People who don't buy JTL shouldn't get anything. Because it's an expansion and it's optional, the people who buy JTL should get the items. And since it add stuff to the game and extends the playability (hence the name expansion) the new items should be available to only those who purchase JTL.
