as above
i have a really good capacitor for my lvl and i can use it it has 1000 enery and im only lvls 1-1-0-0
the only thing is its 0/1000 enery. how do i "recharge" it so i can actually use it? and i have the problem on a few other components too.
also i have tried to repair in the space dock and have tried to use repair kits. neither have worked.

It should recharge when you put it in a ship with a reactor in it. You will need to launch into space but recharging will only take a min or so. When you start using the stored charge (firing weapons) the capacitor will start recharging the used charge on its own.

Repair kits will only repair armor and hit points.
Just install the capacitor in your ship, launch into space, make sure you have enough reactor power for it. It will automatically recharge up to its maximum energy capacity.
(Nice cap, by the way.)

Depending on that capcitors recharge rate it wil lrecharge in space as soon as you launch. There has been a cap or two that had 0 recharge rate (looted one of em once myself) those are crap and should beinstantly destroyed. Since they dont recharge.
Repairs can be done either at any space station (carefull a few only repair up to 80% of your damage!). or on ground using either Component Specific repaitr kits, or General Rep kits... this is done at the starship terminal when you view your subcomponents you get a "repair" button, if you have the appropriate tool it will be repaired by simply clicking thois button.
Any more questions?
Send me a PM.

Anything you get, loot or baught, will show a '0' for the current energy untill it is actually installed and charged up in your starfighter. You will see once you put your capacitor, shields, etcc in your ship and launch after the initial charge you will see that the '0' will change.

thx for the help but...
as i said. it is the energy that is on 0/1000 on it. when i get home ill take a pic nad show you all what i mean. but your capacitor has a max energy that shows up as the reb bar in space right?
well when i install it it comes up as 0 therefore cant use weapons. pity cos its like 35 recharge and lvl 2 component

I know what you mean, the thing is borked, I had something similar,
The thing they are refering to is if you have an energy bar of 1000/0.
This is what we like to call, "The devs fuc ked up again" instead of putting the bigger number on the right, they put it on the LEFT, thus, your capacitor, has a 0 energy bar.

unfortunatley i know what you speak of. tho that isnt it. the poblem is litteraly the cpacitor total enery (the eamount you see as the red bar in space) is 0/1000 and i dont know how to get it back up. is this borked or what?

I once had my capacitator removed for some inexplicable reason. You might want to check again that it is actually installed.

You might also want to check you havn't switched to a really bad reactor which doesn't have enough power to charge the capacitor..

that sounds like a possible explanation. but would the "power" of the ship turn the red numbers?
cos my reactor is about 11K

If you look in the manage screen the power usage is shown as xxxxxx/yyyyyy, where xxxxx is the amount used. An yes, if you were over the limit it would show up in red.

well it seems to be sorted anyway. and this whole thing was about the capacitor energy not how much the reactor can hold..
but i logged on last night and instead of being 0/1000 it was 1000/1000. perhaps just you need to leave them overnight to "recharge"
