i just thought of this.
since they are suddenly making every "perk" in this game where you have to be over 18 to get it, will they make the veteran ship an over 18 "perk" or will everyone be able to have it?

To the origional poster:
They can't let you regester unless you can be legaly held to an Non Disclosure Agreement, which means no one under 18. However, I would assume that once the finishedJTL ships, you would be able to enter your pre-order key to get the ship, as they wouldn't need an NDA any more (considering that there wouldn't be anything for you not to disclose).

They're notrestricting any in-game "perks" to 18+ year olds. Beta is not a "perk", and it hasn't been "suddenly" made into anything. It was always 18+, and it's that way for just about every game.

ok...ok,
im just talking about "suddenly" making the beta 18+ refering to the beta disk that you get for pre-ordering. sry for any confusion.
I dont really care about getting into beta that much, however, i pre-ordered to get my "garrenteed" (spl?) access to beta. (although, on a side note, we all care about everything, we just tell ourselves we dont care so we dont feel bad when we dont get it)

i dont blame you for being pissed that you cant get in beta... it said on the pre-order the disc gives you a guarenteed spot for it and i dont believe it said anything about you having to be 18+

Well since I have to be 18 to use the pre-order disk, that means I have to be 18 to get that special speeder. That is crap right there. The vet ship im not worried about, since everyone seems to parallel that to the goggles, and it seems that you didn't have to be 18 to get those.

Did the same here, Gamestop guy didnt feel like mentioning (if he knew) that my $5 investment was fairly useless.

Well the 5 dollars still goes to buying the game, it's not like you're paying extra. I (like a moron) bought the game online, so now I have to wait for it to ship without getting the pre-order bonus.

Well the only way to get the speeder is to register your beta pre-order disk key after you register for beta, which you can't do if you are under 18.

The only thing I can think of is, once you put the bonus disk in and you install for beta. The files for the Speeder are stashed away somewhere untill you acutally install the retail version of JTL.
Just my therory though.
