Should Jedi have an advantage in space combat? In the star wars era Jedi were always excelent pilots but in the game i would think it would give a unfair advantage when this is focused on real-time combat and skill

I don't think any specific advantage other than Jedi Starfighters...

Not all Jedi were master pilots, we only really had a glance at the Skywalkers who were good pilots. But Obi-wan hated flying. Each one has strength and weaknesses, maybe if you want to be a better pilot you'll have to give up something in the new system like lightsaber ability or healing.

i agree with jayklogaan. i dont think jedi should be better pilots than the rest of us. I think they should be able to fly the Jedi Starfighter as jedi only perk for JTL.

Yep give them a 30 year old outdated Delta-7 Aethersprite (Jedi Starfighter). I'll be more then happy to blow them out of the sky

Yeah I have to say, Jedi might have those twitchflexes and those canny mind tricks, but you have to realize there core competency is Jedi Skills, most of those arent exactly conducive to the cold realties of space, where no one can here you soil yourself as a master pilot, who his every waking day has devoted themselves to introducing wannabe pilots to thefrigid embrace of the abyss.

Call me crazy, or are Jedi expecting to Make better ships than shipwrights, or Collect Better Resources than norms, I could go on and on...

Jedi should and did have advantages in flight. You mentioned Luke, but hello, Vader was the greatest Imperial pilot there was. Who was the Jedi chasing Zam down on the speeders (Qui-Gon)? They sensed things before they happened, and had better reflexes. They obviously had advantages over other people flying speeders. Of course they should havethe advantage in the game.

But your forgetting this is going to be twitch based combat. the skill is in the player. not what class he is. And Baron Fel was the greatest Imperial pilot.

Fel was good, but Wedge even said Vader was better. Just got done reading the X-Wing series again, in preparation for the expansion

It would be cool to see the jedi fighter ingame, since jedi have skill loss they probebly get a slightadvantage.

What they should do is implement Jedi Ace, which is a class from the table top game which allows you to advance your force powers in the ways of piloting, and whether he liked flying or not, Obi Wan had levels of Jedi Ace, most Jedi did even if only a little bit.


Anakin and luke had tons of Jedi Ace.


And yes, Bloodfin and Jedi Star fighters should be implemented.


And Bounty Hunters should get special ships, and Smugglers should as well.

Oh Please A jedi would have a clear advatage in space combat.... Yeah Obi-Wan did not like flying but that did not stop him from not only escaping Jango with the cool decoy move but he held his on pretty darn well. And remember he was one who didn't like flying.. not likying something and doing it are too diffrent things. Yoda don't like to pull that lightsaber out but by george lucas when he does he's pretty darn good with it



So I would say a Jedi would be pretty good at space combat and if he did go up againts a Master Pilot then yeah it would be tough but I think he could hold his own pretty well snice he is a Jedi after all....
