The timeline isn't screwed up. We're between Episodes 4 and 5. The Death Star was just blown up not too long ago, but we aren't to the point where the Rebels are on Hoth yet.

Being built; ironically in the one system that everyone does there master pilot mission in. Not a very sensible choice of venue.

Construction has not quite started on it. Run through Storm Squadron's missions (Imperial, based in Bestine). I know they deal with it quite a bit.

Oh, and everyone does their master missions in Kessel. The second Death Star is at Endor.

It isn't there yet. Storm Squadron's story deals with some of it getting there.

btw where is kessil?

You get to Kessel by hailing a space station - different ones depending on your faction. Privateers (Smugglers at least) use the Dath neutral station, and rebels use the datooine station (I forget if its a neutral one or a rebel one). These aren't the planet landing stations but are just out in space and on the POI lists.

As has been pointed out repeatedly, a long time ago, in threads far, far away.

SWG is a MMORPG, "not" an exact replica of the movies/books. There has been ‘many’ inconsistencies between the two, (all the jedi walking around, buff lines, equipment etc..) and that list can go on and on.

For me to keep paying $15 bucks per month, It’smore important that the Devs try to keep the game interesting and filled with content thanstick tothe movies/books plot.

Yes, they stick to the movies/books plot whenever possible, but it is not, and should not be, a necessity.

I will display the "Test Center" icon until SWG is bug free.

The Death Star 1 was destoryed roughly 2 years ago by timeline. Rebels should be found and destoryed on Hoth within the next year. The construction of the Death Star 2 should begin at about the same time or a little less. The Death Star 2 will be built in the Endor system (not Kessel). The Death Star 3 is built in Kessel (from the jedi search trilogy), but that is a bit far into the future.
Frankly Vader can be wherever he wants, as he isn't on the Death Star 1 (as it was destoryed) and we don't know anything of him until ESB when he is on the Executor. So SOE has the right to put him wherever Lucasarts says is ok.
Hopefully in the near future the skeleton of the Death Star 2 will start to appear and Hoth will be introduced with Rebels on it (or remnants left after the battle and evac).
And as to people saying Kashyyyk and Episode 3 stuff isn't correct in the timeline. Yes they fit in the timeline. They aren't adding in events that happened during Episode 3, they are adding in a location that will undoubtedly be scarred by what happens in Episode 3 and they are adding in ships and technology that is 20 years old. One, the Falcon is 30 years old as well as the Z-95. Both of which are still in service. The Star Wars universe has very, very slow technological advancement. (as we can tell from KOTOR and KOTOR 2 which are considered canon, so over thousands of years, the technology hardly moves.) So do not worry, Lucasfilm/Lucasarts will make sure SOE does not screw up the timeline too bad.

Death Star -1, technically. Its the prototype for the Death Star...unless you're taking about the Sun Crusher, which is something different.

Plus the Hutts build the Darksaber, which is their version of a Death Star.

But meh. I'm being picky.

And the only "screwed up" thing about the timeline is a couple of the Rebel ships. I don't think the B-Wing is due out yet...but I flew a mission to destroy a prototype B-Wing in the Talus system, so if its brand new, then I guess that'd work. The only problem is, the Mon Cals don't join the Rebellion properly until after Episode V...and they're the ones that developed the B-Wing. If Admiral Ackbar has already been freed by the Rebels, and started designing the B-Wing already though... /shrug
