The thing about the opressor is that they should have made it a little more natural looking if they made all the wings at a 30 degree angle thus making a triangle. As of now, it just looks like an el cheapo tie with a wing tacked onto it. I mean like this. Here is a pic of what it current looks like as opposed to what it should look like:

I love the Opresser, but I still don't understand why they went through all the work of designing a totally new ship when all they needed was an Imperial gunship. The Cyganus Spaceworks' Alpha Class Xg-1Assault Gunboatwould have been perfect for the role. It is already well documented in EU and has alargefan basein StarWars fans and vets ofalmost any SW flight combat sim.

the opressor isnt new.... ive seen it in other games. for example, its in galactic battle grounds and its misnamed as the tie advanced.

Are you talking about the ship that is the advanced fighter for the Imperials? If so, thats a TIE Defender, not an Opressor.

i like it. I'm glad they can design their own stuff rather than just copying everyone else. It's called creative liberty and the artists and design team just added their own ideas into the star wars universe... now who wouldn't want to do that? Its not a defender, so it doesn't have to have its 33 degree profile. Almost like a precursor to the defender... except with a nice turret on the back.
