Thread: What are those funny symbols???

Hey everyone. I noticed something yesterday while playing and I can't find any info on it anywhere. Please bear with me since I'm at work and I don't have a screenshot to post 
If you go into your ship component view while in space (the "V" key), you get a list on the top right of all the general components that are on your ship (Engine, Reactor, Ordinance, etc). Every once in a while, usually after I've taken some damage, I'll notice 1, 2, or 3 symbols just to the left of some of the components. One is a Triangle with the top half of the triangle a different color from the bottom, etc. Again sorry I don't have a screenshot, which would make this much easier, but does anyone have any idea what these are?

When i see these symbols is when that item is damaged or not working buecause there is not enough power. Thats the most common reason. Last time i saw this is when i did a overload on a item and 1 of my weapons quit working so i did a reactor overload boom they went away and the weapon started working.
Different symbols mean different things. I dont know them all sry.

Component status indicators.
Not really documented. They show up when you have a component thats heavily damaged or low on hps, not getting enough power thereby running inefficiently, or just plain flat out disabled and not working.

the crossed circle tells you the component is desactivated (because of damage or insuffisant power input)
The kind of up arrow... i don't know.... I have it for my reactor all the time.... and sometimes see it for my other components....

well the triangle means unpowered, which oddly enough my reactor allways has next to it. yet its a generator.....

Hmm... I've never seen any icons or symbols with my components...
