Just wanted to let everyone know that EB is still unable to tell me whether the JTL pre-orders purchased in-store will be eligable for the bonus beta CD with the Naboo Speeder, which was shipped this past Friday. Gamestop, however, has them in-stock, in-store. I cancelled my pre-order with EB today and went over to Gamestop to pick up the bonus disk. The bonus disk contains the beta installer (you'll need to download the beta software still), and the CD key will unlock the Naboo Speeder when JTL goes live (according to the package literature).
So anyone who has a pre-order in-store with EB might want to think about cruising by Gamestop instead, while EB waffles over whether they're even getting it before launch.

Hmm, I have already pre-purchased a copy form EB online and also pre-purchased a copy in the store. When I went into the store today I was told they dont know anything about the Beta CD nor the bonus CD. You would think that EB Corporate would send out a memo or something to let their shops know of up and comming software. Im going to wait until tommorow and speak with the manager at the store and if I dont get a positive response, I wil cancel my order and go to Gamestop.

Had a similar issue. The EB store had no idea what I was talking about. I had to actually print out the online info and bring it into the store. They told me to keep checking back.....okay....

I was one of the people who pre-ordered JTL at EB when it was first announed. Once I saw the posting on EB's web site about contacting the store about the bonus CD, I called up my local EB. The guy said that most likely the bonus CD would ship with the JTL expansion on October 27th, and I could pick the Bonus CD up then.
Don't shoot the messenger. I'll call them up again tomorrow and check, and if they tell me the same thing I'll switch to Game Stop.

All preorders will get access to the Flash Speeder.
For those that have been asking, the Flash Speeder will be made available to those who purchased the preorder once JTL goes live.

You worry to much.. so big deal if you dont get the beta CD in time you will still get the speeder sooner or later. If they dont ship now they will ship with your order..

what i wanna know is how do those of use who got into beta thru fan fest/veteran status/etc get the speeder with our preorder seeing as how we have already registered our beta key from the email and not from our pre-order discs?

Will there be a special edition of JtL like there was for AED? I made the mistake of preordering AED like 5 months or so before launch. Then the special edition came out, and I'm a sucker like that so I ended up with two copies

Least you guys get the speeder, its a little too costly for me to pre-order via EB, its about $29.95 for the game USD, then $29.95 USD to ship it here to Australia

Just looking at the gamestop site, if I preorder...whats the deal with the bonus disc? Or the disc people are picking up? Will they send it to me (doubt it) Or is it only for beta? Already got beta, I only want the speeder
. Or does the disc come with the JtL disc etc, on the 26/27th of Oct?

They're not kidding around, either. EB sent my promo disc standard overnight (picked their "saver" shipping for the regular title)...the only problem being they sent it on a Friday.
