As a smuggler I can choose to fly the Luxury yacht or the YT-1300 ifI want a transport ship for smuggling. So,I can either be a Lando Calrissian-wannabeor a Han Solo-wannabe. How original.
I REALLY hope there will be some more transport ships at launch or shortly after...

And I thought I was the only one who didn't want to look like Han Solo. It would be really weird of the only multipassenger ships were only YT - 1300 or Yacht... I for one want something original.

They should have at least 2 non YT-1300/luxury yatch ships - so that a third of the population don't go for the third one to "be different."

I have a feeling both of these will be the two most common of the ships we have. Next to Xwings....

We will probably get more ships down the line. I mean.. that's what Publishes are for, right?
I only hope future ships won't be a case of (you can loot the schematics of your own Ship in this dungeon!)
I mean come on.. If you are going to do that, then make it the Tyderian class, (sp) shuttle, and make it auto availiable to Imperials for faction points. It is an Imnperial craft after all

Oh yeah, that's what it's gonna be, everyone here keeps talkin bout "When I get my YT/LY...." or, "Forget x-wings! I wanna YT-1300 like han's ship!"
I fear that jump to lightspeed will be the start of the war between those that own a YT-1300, and those that own an LY-3000. And of course, we all know the LY-3000 will win right?

I just want a old, used light transport that DONT look like any of the main characters ship. I want a look of my own, I am no Han Solo-wannabe. I am Jirigan Nix, and if I could choose I want a Gthroc freighter series 720.

Well as long as full customization and upgrading is still available (from what I have heard so far it is) I won't be too upset. There are going to be a bunch of Millenium Falcons and Lady Lucks running around though, for sure.

No offense to anybody, but I hear everybody saying that flying such and such ship will make you a ________ wanna-be, but if you have that attitude, aren't you just really single minded and seeing a ship as only a single characters possession?
Shouldnt all X-wing pilots be Wedge or Luke wanna-bes?
SHouldnt all TIE Advanced Pilots be Vader Wanna-bes?
Are all Firespray pilots Boba Fett Wannabes?
Are all Z-95 pilots Mara Jade wannabes?
the answer is no. Seriously people, the only people that are _______ wanna-bes are gonna be you if thats the only way you see a specific ship. The ship dont make the pilot, there are plenty of Yachts and YT-1300's other then hans and Landos, think about that before you start spouting out the crap about wanna-be pilots

Yes, there are lots of most of those ships, but not the YT-1300. Remember the Thrawn-triology books? Han Solo almost couldnt belive it when somebody else had managed to find a YT-1300 "from a scrapyard somewhere" I belive his words were. A X-wing wont make you a luke- or wedge-wannabe becase, as you say, there are plenty of them. But to have our shipwrights produce large ammounts of a rare old ship that havent been made in almost decades, that will make us han solo-wannabes.

In TIE fighter the flight simthere were plenty of YT-1300s that you had to kill, inspect, etc.
