Thread: Tier 4 duty missions

Hi, i recently made 3333 and was trying some tier 4 duty missions but they are really hard and im not getting much exp. I'm a smuggler/privateerand started my missions on tatooine, so therefore i have a traine rin dathomir. So if anyone has any hints or tips on the best duty and way to approach it that would be great thanks.

You need droid commands. Weapon overload 3, Engine overload 3, are noth imp commands you need to have, buy a couple unprogrammed chipsand get a couple imnperial pilots to make these for you, you also need Capcitor overcharge 3, Reactor overload 3, and weapon to shield dhunt 4, all of these commands should fit in a level 4 starship computer which you are qualified to use, as a 3333 I could take ten tier 4's no problem in my dunelizard, which as master I still fly.

I am a Smuggler pilot working on Tier 4 as well. I have a maxed out Kimogila at the moment. Get some good guns and a maneuverable engine and use the highest Capacitor Overcharge command you can. Don't forget the Shield Shunts though. With these two, you're set. I suggest doing the escort, although it seems boring from the title, it is actually the best duty mission. You fly against wave after wave of TIEs but NO AGGRESSORS, so I find it easy. Be sure to stick close to the freighter because it is so easy to chase after TIEs, especially the Interceptors. But don't because he'll warn you once to tighten up and before you know it he bails and you fails. 
It's all just a grind but with a good ship you can solo it with ease. And the loot is pretty good too.

You could do destroy missions from Dathomir space station. You'll have to fight waves of Tier 3 Black Sun fighters, with Tier 4 fighters as the 'bosses'. It'll take longer to gain XP, but if you're having problems against the Tier 4's then it's a calmer way to get used to dealing with them, as you're not faced with the Agressor as a boss (althought they're easy when you know how!) and tier 3s are pretty easy kills.
I also suggest using capacitor overload/overcharge 3 (I forget the exact name - it a freelancer program). It doesn't do much damage to your capacitor or decay it, it lasts until you land, and it allows you to fire both weapons for pretty much as long as you like (useful when you're up against hard-to-hit fighters like Interceptors or Kihraxzs)

Take Sonax's advise about the droid programs. These should help you in your duty missions. An alternative grinding location is Kessel. As a Smuggler's Alliance pilot, most of the ships will be yellow on your radar so you can take them on one-on-one. Avoid Aggressors if you can't handle these guys. B-Wings, X-wings, Y-wings, and Oppressors are the easiest to down. These are Tier 5 fighters so you get more xp too. When I hit 3-3-3-3 in any pilot profession, I just load up my droid as Sonax posted and hit Kessel for the grind.

Kessel? I thought you could only get to Kessel after completing tier 4?

You can go to Kessel anytime. I only go there when I know I can down Tier 5 fighters.

Corsec- Dant MO
RSF- Theed Palace
You might find targets more to your liking

rite nowi ts ok i go to kessel and kill loads there fast exp and very easy

Ok you guys are talkin about comp chips, I am a imp pilot 3-3-3-2 with No astromech or comp chips, I was lookin for some ideas as of y my will not accept them ? ?
