I totally agree xTekx, the whole endless "monster garage" aspect of JTL is a big fun factor for myself as well. Some ships in particular are serious long term projects (ie; a-wing, b-wing, etc) and this is a very satisying thing to work on in game. I just got my awing to a seriously nasty level of effectiveness and had a blast getting there with it. Now my focus has turned towards the B-wing parked in my dantooine shed... *kracks knuckles*

I have a master shipwright as well and i really enjoy taking a players less then ideal ship and helping tune it up into a killing machine. It makes a huge difference on the fun factor in JTL having a ship that can perform well for you and your style of flying.

Came back last month after a 9 month hiatus, got JTL, and quickly fell in love with it. Made one of my toons Rebel just so I could have an X-wing.

It just feels like Star Wars upin space...

I felt compelled to add this thread in here after scanning thru the messages and seeing all the negative whiney apathetic post titles. Good lord folks just RELAX! This is an amazing expansion for a MMORPG and i for one am ecstatic that SOE made it for us. Its alot of fun(huge under-statement) and its amazing looking (both key elements for any GAME). Yes there are bugs and problems, some larger then others, but ALL games have these, especially games as monstrously huge as SWG.

So... if you are enjoying JTL and want to share with others feel free to post here. If you have issues with JTL then post some helpful constructive posts on the problem(s) and maybe folks can help. If you hate the expansion... then why did you even open and read this post.

I don't know about "rocks" like you say, but I would have to agree that on the whole, I've had more positive than negative experiences with JTL. Now that I'm decorating my Sorosub, I'm liking it even more. Once I finish my FS grind (which should be this week), I'm going to start flying again and finish Tier 2, but by then I may have a different opinion of it.

Wow! a player not going I hate this/that about JTL on pvp/pve, whatever. I like it.

And yes I love JTL. I probably spend half my time on SWG flying now. I'm always looking for overts in space to fly against since I love the thrill ofpvp'ing to stay alive knowing that at any moment that person could shoot me down with one shot. After every pvp fight my heart is racing. Luckly I win mostof time. I hate it when my components suffer decay lol. (they really should implement no decay on parts when you die from pvp, like what they did on the ground).

the other aspect of JTL that I love is the ability to work on my ships. Setting them up how I want them. I look at it as the equivalent as tinkering with your car to get a few more horse power or what not. Looting parts, searching for parts, figuring out if you can use them, getting them RE'd, and making it all fit within a certain amount of mass with just hte right amount of energy. I enjoy it. As a guildie/friend told me last week when I was working onher Xwing. "Sweet! Pimpin my ride!" And now she has an awesome Xwing with two lvl 8 weps on it.

Its the little things about the game I love. Some things could be added. But PvP, as quick as it is, it leaves me feeling WoW after each fight. Flying in formation with guildies, helping friends destroy the vette, and just flying in space in general. I was a big XvT nut and loved the Xwing series so JTL just fits perfect for me.

I love it too, I just hate the decay issues, makes me scared to fly my KSE lol.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Dude .. I have to say that I came back to check out JTL. IMHO, the game wasn't complete (in terms of capturing the feel of star wars) until space combat was added. I have to say, it has TOTALLY changed the feel of the game for me.

I remember back in the days pre launch on the forums when the space expansion was being discussed - we begged the devs to allow for multiplayer craft. Although they explained the physics was a potential nightmare - they promised to take a look at making it possible.

The first time I climbed on board a YT-1300 - looke dout of the cockpit - wakled through the craft - manned the gun turrets / I was completely blown away. I had more star wars vibe in 5 minutes than I had experienced in any of the previous months I had played combined. I just hope they add more multiplayer craft (YT-2400 please *drool*)

Nice work Sony
