I've posted this on the beta boards numerous times with no dev taking consideration of it. The game is about to go live and i'm willing to wager that this will bea gripe for many people. The game needs laser convergence. I can't tell you how annoying it is when your directly behind your target and your just trying to angle your ship so that you can get both lasers to hit and not just one.

do you mean that you want to be able to turn the individual cannons so the zero range is closer?
If they were to implement that though it would be a manual adjustment that you would have to do on the ground

Yes. so that you can set the range at which the lasers will meet. Or maybe an auto convergence in which if you have 100% chance of hitting the guy it will converge right on your target.

I remember reading in a Star Wars novel about how before a bunch of X-Wings took off, they had to set the Laser Convergence Range to the distance they thought that they would most likely be engaging the enemy. I think this would be a great idea that you would set yours on the ground.

hmm, if it is the case that the gun fire doesn't converge at some point in front of your vehicle then that is rather a glaring oversight. It would also imply that someone flying an x-wing, for instance, would never be able to hit a target that was directly in front of the nose of their craft.

I don't think that it should just converge at one point and stay together, but converge at one point then spread out again.

I agree, there should be convergence for fighters with multiple weapons, but this has always had to be done on the ground in the books or In real life for our fighter aircraft.

yeah, it was hard to hit stuff in the z95, but the ywing made things a bit easier. i was going mad looking for the toggle convergence key (like in xwa) and i found out alot later there was none
there defn. needs to be some kind of convergence thing

How complicated can it be? Set it for 200m, 300m, etc... or just in case, have a default.

great idea! also we should be able to choose to fire both lasers at once or one at a time. or on ships with four lasers like xwing and tie interceptor we should get to choose between four at once, two at a time (corner to corner), or one at a time.

In an X-wing you can set up weapon groups so you can fire 2, 4, or 6 blasters at a time.
