Hi, I started playing the Beta yesterday and I loved it. But as I launched into space I noticed something, all the ships were flying around VERY fast, and they would jerk around real fast too, making space combat for me impossible. I thought it might have been a bug, but I asked other people and no one else in the game had this problem. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know.
P.S. I already tried restarting my computer and doing a Full Scan.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, maybe server lag or something. But, I have a very high connection speed, and when I'm flying around my ship doesn't lag like that, except when I get close to a space station, or something big like asteroids.

I have noticed that some players with lag often jerk around in odd directions, slowing down, speeding up, doing all sorts of weird things. Also, it seems that when they come into range, it appears as if they just came out of hyperspace, making it seem as if they could actually move that fast. Anyway, I would also say it's just a lag problem with other players and the server, nothing to be surprised about.

Yeah that's exactly what's happening to me..but the problem is, it won't stop! I can't really do anything with the ships I'm trying to fight moving that fast.

Gah, now I can't even log in. Screw it, I'm just going to go play the normal game, and I'll keep praying that the actual game will work once it gets here.

lol, just one question what's your system?
Just for the rest of us, who might b a tad afraid of not being able to play due to lag (I have horrifyingly bad lag).

your physical memory is not *very* high it can probably make the game
lag. give your harddrive a better memory
i had raid with
240 gb but it crashed for a few months later so i changed it to miror disk
with 160 gb

I have not played beta so im dont know how it works, but in the ground game i sometimes lagg horribly, but i find that turning the graphics way down helps cut through it allot. Again not sure about JTL or anything, just how id try dealing with lag issues.

Hey i've been having the same problem. I've talked to a couple people, one said they've never had that lag problem, and one who said just when there were a bunch of people on. I can assure you it's NOT your computer. I have a beast with an Athlon 64, a radeon 9800 pro and a gig of ram. So i'm not really sure what to say, but i'm hoping that once they move the game to the main servers this problem won't happen. And i'm hoping any devs are paying attention to this, because in the beta it's a serious problem. I've also run into other people who are having this same problem. Laters
